In fact, when I was watching a movie, I was thinking about one thing, how should the director of this movie tell his actors. Because most of the time, I don't know what is going on at all. Therefore, actors can hardly use plot emotions when acting. For example, Johnny, to be honest, I don't know what he is doing in the whole film, but I still want to watch it because he is an emotion, a state, and an image. The difficulty of this film is to perform that state without knowing anything, and it is incredibly credible. I think this film is a great creation of actors, a kind of British psychedelic middle-class style. I'm actually very surprised by this kind of film, because you never know what is going on for more than 100 minutes, but it's also very comfortable. This is not a fascination of plot substitution, but a comfort of emotion substitution.
There are many such films in China, but unfortunately they are all very stupid. First, there are no actors of this kind in China, and none of them have a culture. Things that have plots have yet to be understood. Second, China does not have such a pretending director. The educated always worry that the popular tastes of the box office will destroy themselves alive, and the uneducated are just like a TV series made by a group of turtles.
