Anthony Fischer (Derek Luke) is a child who lost his parents since childhood. He was first sent to an orphanage and later adopted by a couple. In the home of his adoptive parents, Fischer spent a miserable childhood. Not only was he lynched by his adoptive parents, he was also tortured by his "elder sister" who was not related by blood. Unfortunately, Fischer developed a tyrannical character and hatred of women.
When he grew up, he came to serve in the Navy because of his personality problems often causing trouble. As a result, he was ordered to receive psychological treatment from the military psychologist Jerome (Denzel Washington).
The treatment process is difficult. In the beginning, Jerome couldn't even understand Fischer's true thoughts. It wasn't until later that through slow contact and using the power of emotions to influence him, the two gradually began to communicate in real spirit. The role of the black girl Cheryl (Joy Bryant) and Mrs. Jerome (Sally Richardson) in Fischer's transformation cannot be underestimated. It was they who warmed Fischer's heart, let him get rid of the shadow of his childhood and found the beacon of life again.

Three and a half stars, I like three things. Read poetry. Anthony Fischer met his mother, who didn't explain anything and didn't cry until her son left. Another redemption movie. Son did a good job

Antwone Fisher quotes

  • Jerome Davenport: "Who will cry for the little boy, lost and all alone / Who will cry for the little boy, abandoned without his own"

Antwone Fisher: "Who will cry for the little boy, he cried himself to sleep / Who will cry for the little boy, who never had it for keeps / Who will cry for the little boy, who walked on burning sands / Who will cry for the little boy, the boy inside a man / Who will cry for the little boy, who knew well hurt and pain / Who will cry for the little boy, who died and died again / Who will cry for the little boy, a good boy he tried to be / Who will cry for the little boy, who cries inside of me"

Jerome Davenport: Who will cry for the little boy Antwoine?

Antwone Fisher: I will, I always do.

  • Jerome Davenport: "Regard without ill-will despite an offense." That's Webster's definition of forgiveness.

Antwone Fisher: Why do I have to forgive?

Jerome Davenport: So you can get on with your life.
