Why can we calmly accept the words spoken by the person facing you? You can accept every sentence, even if you say afterwards, ah, I found out that there was a problem a long time ago, but you still accepted it at the time. Accepting every word she said, she didn't feel any surprise.
But the more I think about it, the more strange it becomes. Why does she say this to you (note: it is this sentence!)? Why do you say that? Why does she speak? Why would she answer you? Why do you speak? Well, what I want to ask is, in fact, why we are all talking, at different times, speaking different things, the key is that sometimes, we still say the same things.
I began to imagine a modern world without language, where everyone grinned on the construction site, or did their own thing in silence, or did everyone dance inexplicable dances in their own space? Thinking about it further, I suddenly realized that language has helped a lot. If we don’t speak, our world will become even more absurd. Our idiom allows us to calmly go to bed and wake up early, "Hello", "Morning Good", "Goodbye", it just passed by day by day.
Only after passing through these polite words, I still see some instinctive hostility in the words (?), and see the impossibility between people (?), so I still can’t accept what you said (why is this sentence) ?), I can't tell you why I say so much now (and these words).

You said: "I love you."
I said: "Stay."
I almost said: "Possess me."
But you said: "Let's go."

Jules and Jim quotes

  • Jules: The most important factor in any relationship is the woman's fidelity. The husband's is secondary. Who was it who wrote, "Woman is natural, therefore abominable?"

Jim: Baudelaire, but he was describing a certain world.

Jules: Not at all. He spoke of women in general. What he says about a young girl is magnificent: "Horror, monster, assassin of the arts, little fool, little slut. The greatest idiocy combined with the greatest depravity." Wait. I'm not finished. This is marvelous: "I'm always astonished they allow women inside churches. What could they possibly have to say to God?"

    Catherine: You're both fools.

  • Jim: I understand.

Catherine: I don't want to be understood. It's almost dawn.
