"Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Soul Gathering Coffin": The King's Way of Repaying Debts ■ by Vulcan
look up. forward. All unknown confusions are watching. Bow your head. backward. All weary weakness is falling.
We are all falling back. We may not know before we fall back; where we are. ——Vulcan Ji. Inscription.
Linking up and down, it seems that Hollywood will never give up this pursuit of commercial interests. Fortunately, this movie is not bad. After the enthusiasm has passed, it is impossible to be quiet because the end of the movie promised us that those in "End of the World" may have good expectations. So, after watching this movie, we will keep looking forward to it. Don't look forward madly; don't lose interest completely. This may be the brightest aspect of this film as a follow-on film. If you put aside "The Curse of the Black Pearl" and the upcoming "End of the World", this can still be a successful and independent commercial film.
Hollywood always operates in its inherent mode. A successful movie will become a trilogy series of movies, followed by prequel and final compilation. The film spans a long way, reaching the story before "The Curse of the Black Pearl" and extending it to the story of "The End of the World". In the process of linking up and down, he has preserved his unique integrity, and all this film has done is still very competent.
Everything that should be in the blockbuster is not lacking in this movie. Perhaps even more rare in this movie is how to portray the characters' personalities more three-dimensionally and more convincingly. The character of Captain Jack, played by Johnny Depp, has not made much breakthrough in the character of righteousness and evil. On the contrary, I can see how much light is in Keira Knightley's body. The emotional hesitation and confusion she played as Elizabeth seems to have happened to many people. No longer die from one thing, and never regret after falling in love at first sight. Of course, the movie still takes the mainstream route. After the appearance of Will Turner played by Orlando Bloom, all the haze seems to have disappeared in the wind.
Perhaps in the eyes of many people, such untimely emotional twists and turns appear to be superfluous in this movie, or it is just a carefree brushwork. However, in my opinion, such a portrayal makes the character of the character more humane and more convincing. After all, we all no longer believe in the kind of aesthetic love in movies and are more inclined to all kinds of lost thinking. And the characters in the movie may need to get closer to us to gain more persuasiveness for the movie.
Duck-buried preaching and the kind of fairy tale love story, in our eyes, no longer have such ability. In other words, we have been looking up at fairy tales with our noble heads for too long. What we no longer need is the envy and jealousy that we can never get, but our own shadow can be captured by us in those thrilling stories. Perceive yourself. This movie at least gives us such hope. What we can see is that Captain Jack sacrificed a hundred people in exchange for his own "debt" for his own desires. Of course, he ended in failure. What we can see is Elizabeth's emotional confusion about Turner or Captain Jack, even though she finally chose Turner, whom she has always loved. The portrayal of the movie can be done very well, it is the kind of touch that is click-to-stop, so all this has not been disappointing or made people feel contrived, but a natural desire and a very human expression.
The layout of the plot may seem a bit prosperous. For example, Jack's island distress seems a bit redundant. But in Hollywood movies, such similar things are not uncommon. Create a ridiculous paradise, and then create some terrible people, the protagonist is exiled, and then encounters various dangers, and finally breaks out. This kind of thing is not the most important in the layout of the plot, but it is eye-catching and box office blockbuster firepower. Or we should say, that kind of adventures in dangerous environments can always arouse our curiosity and desire for prying, so we started chasing them non-stop. Hollywood never does futile work, and what we are chasing may be what they do. I can only say that the shot is beautiful and imaginative, nothing more.
In fact, this movie is to some extent clarifying our doubts. At least we know why the tattered Black Pearl will be the fastest sailing at sea; why Captain Jack will definitely take back the pirate ship. Because everything Captain Jack has comes from the filthy deep sea. This movie creates a complete and beautiful building in this connected middle area. The first is a prime location; this one is a gorgeous building; then, "End of the World" may become the interior design that gives us a glimpse of it. From this window, we could see all the magnificent things in the house, so we started to look forward to it and waited. Dig down from the foundation of the first part. We can find the entrance to a black hole, the process of excavation and the traction forward are all of this movie. And what will we face after entering that black hole, that is the selling point of "End of the World" and everything it is about to accomplish.
At least we can hope that Jack in "End of the World" will escape from birth, instead of being enslaved forever to pay off his "debt" like old Turner. This movie turns "The Curse of the Black Pearl" into a prequel, or turns itself into an interpretive puzzle. And all the mysteries, perhaps, will be revealed in "The End". Everything stems from a filthy transaction. And the whole process of this transaction, we may be able to predict from the body of Old Turner. Debt repayment has become the ultimate indicator of last resort in this movie. Putting aside the final subversion that the third film may bring, what this film does is just the kind of royal missionary that owes money to pay.
No matter how we like Jack, in the end he must pay what he should pay for everything he got. Whether Jack in the third part will be redeemed, I think it should be for sure, because he is the protagonist, he is the most attractive highlight in the whole series of movies, and before that, he can only be reluctantly drawn behind the scenes . In other words, the temporary retreat has become the final suspense. We will have the courage to watch everything that will be depicted in the third movie, and we will also have the interest and desire to spy. The most shining bright spot has become the most curious traction. We will go all the way, because the Captain Jack in this movie disappeared at the end of the movie, and because of our beautiful hope and sincere love for him, we will follow the movie to find the Jack that should be returned to us.
Because it's important. So in this movie he will leave us, so that in the next movie we will look forward to his return.
As an independent and complete movie, this movie has a complete plot and magnificent production; and as a linking movie, the suspense that this movie sets for us at the end makes us want to stop. After the visual feast, we may be looking forward to a crazier and richer next meal. Maybe there will be prequels, maybe there will be final episodes. wait. At least before the release of "End of the World", let's wait and see before we make the final conclusion.
