Unreachable love has become our biggest weakness

It is a pity to find that most film critics are lamenting the dark, cruel and perverted nature of the film. Fortunately, this is not what I saw.

My understanding of this film is: undesirable love is our greatest weakness. Weak people choose to paralyze this weakness, but while paralyzing their fragile feelings, they also paralyze the sense of happiness and existence. So everything in life becomes unimportant. Including human lives!

Watanabe longed for his mother's love and his mother's approval. This is his biggest weakness, and that's why Moriguchi laughed so hysterically when he knew this from Mizuki's mouth. This kind of feeling is so familiar to her who has lost her beloved daughter.

Watanabe kept reading the books left by his mother to paralyze himself, and pretended to be great to conceal his fragility. But while numbing herself, she gradually lost the ability to perceive other happiness, killing Meiyue who was the only one who knew him. Only when we saw him crying loudly at the end did we see his little humanity. Because that was the first time he was forced to face his weakness. From this point of view, it is really hard to say whether Mr. Moriguchi is revenge or rescue. Especially the last sentence she was joking. Does it mean to rebirth him, or just all the previous words including bringing bombs to his mother's office.

Naoki wanted to be recognized, which was also his biggest weakness, so it was easy to be used by Watanabe. Similarly, Watanabe may understand Naoki's unidentified loneliness in the subconscious.

After his weakness was exposed by Watanabe, the timid Naoki still didn't have the courage to face it head-on. Instead, he chose to kill a child who was weaker than him to numb and hypnotize himself. I think Naoki is the person who has the least introspection in the film. I think this is why Naoki told his mother in an icy tone that he saw the child alive and still chose to kill her. He wanted to know if his mother would still love him if he knew that he was such a person? This was the last hope, but his mother gave up.

Similarly, Ms. Moriguchi used revenge to paralyze herself after losing her beloved daughter. I don't care if the last grudge is reported, I only know that she is not happy. After walking out of the coffee shop, she finally couldn't numb her feelings with the candy given by the child, and cried like a wandering soul in the street.

After reading it, you ask yourself, do you want to become anyone in it? Do you want to deprive others of their lives at will? Do you want to experience the real hell? If the answer is no, then next time you lose love, no matter how heartache, please choose to face it bravely and don't let weakness swallow you up, including the love you still have.
