Cocoon

Apart from technology, comics and chess are the only cultural images that appear in the three movies, each with a duration of only 90 minutes. The sense of space and calculation ability of playing blind chess help the protagonist to shuttle between the flustered squares, and the cartoon evokes the uncompromising humanity of Dodd, who likes to play chess with him, and fights against the distorted system controlled by technology. Then there is religion. People who are panicked use prayers to stabilize their minds. People who feel injustice out of anger use it as the culprit and curse them. The most absurd thing is that people who walk out of the cube must answer the question: Are you Believe in God. If you don’t believe it, burn to death. Technology defeats religion. And people are perished by technology. No matter how much hardship, wisdom and luck you put in, you can't escape this technological system designed to torture people.

The picture quality is not good after fast-forwarding. The plot did not break through. The first part is a bit fake and the imagination is not enough to make the first part - even the actors are different. . . And I think the director is racist

The third part of cube, not as good as before. Canadian films always feel a little powerless.
