Detectives' contest

When I watch a movie, I always think, do the big detectives in the movie have their prototypes? Since it is a spoof movie, there must be a prototype of it. The images of the two detectives Miss Marple and Polo from Agatha that I know well are very similar to the two detectives in the play. I did not think of the remaining characters who might be connected, but I saw the final part. Combining with the addresses of the opening credits, I think my idea may be correct (but not sure). There are roughly three kinds of funny methods. The first one uses humorous body language and facial expressions to achieve the effect; the second one uses ridicule and satirical language to achieve the effect (often ridicule some well-known paragraphs); the third is probably It can only rely on tickle performances. Why do I think this film is a very, very good movie? Because you can find the first two methods everywhere in this film, but you can never find the last one.

    Very suspenseful and beautiful

8 points. What a joyous movie~~ All the detectives come together to solve a special murder. What's even more pleasing is that the whole case is not the point. The cold jokes, cold humor, and the poignant satire of various traditional detective novels are the core of the film, which is really hilarious to watch. It would be nice if the case could be more rigorous, HOHO~~

Murder by Death quotes

  • Lionel Twain: How do I look so young? Quite simple. A complete vegetable diet, twelve hours sleep a night, and *lots* and *lots* of makeup.

  • Sam Diamond: You say you know who's going to get it?

    Lionel Twain: Intimately.

Inspector Milo Perrier: And you know how the crime is to be committed?

    Lionel Twain: Definitely.

Sidney Wang: And exactly what time murder to take place?

    Lionel Twain: *The* murder. Precisely.

Dora Charleston: Well, I know it's none of my business, but doesn't that mean that you're the murderer, Mr. Twain?
