Only life

It is almost impossible for "Holy Mountain" to understand such a surrealist film with great metaphors, and even the director may be too lazy to explain it. In fact, as long as you understand some things in your heart, it's like you can treat everything as shit, or you can see shit as gold. It doesn't matter. Nothing is certain. The Buddha said it is all fantasy.

If people want to live more comfortably, they need to fantasize and let go of themselves. Indulgence to the end can only be greater emptiness and pain, even Mencius said to be clear-hearted, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, the consensus of the three schools. Only in the state of ecstasy, the supreme pleasure is a kind of ease and detachment after giving up.

Just like burning money in a movie, forgetting yourself, and giving up the demons, it is possible to reach the holy mountain and reach your goal.

However, the director did not stop at the place where he reached the holy mountain. Why?

Because all this is illusory, there is no immortality, religion is just an escape from reality, there is no holy mountain, just like what the teacher said at the end, this is a movie, in fact, we have nothing. Religion is also a deception.

This is the final revelation, Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism... all religions are the same, not all on the holy mountain, wearing a white coat, in fact there is nothing inside, the question is why we Have to overcome all kinds of hardships to get here?

There is no holy mountain, and there is no need to reach it, although some people think that the temptation is spent halfway on the way to arrive, and some may lose their lives. They are the same as those who are determined to reach the end. Even if you give up everything and reach the state of selflessness, people still have to live.

Live, this is life. To live requires death.

It is impossible to escape from life and death. Anything that is possible is a lie.

So in the end, we still have to return to this world full of absurdity, death, war, killing, poverty, and other things, one must not be less.
