When Adam struggled to say'you are, like part of me', Beth stands up, walks to him , looking into his eyes, I guess she is expecting what Adam to say next as much as I do.
How much I wish he could say something like I love you, I can't live without you because you are part of me, part of my heart, not because you are part of my body, like a hand or arm. I love you, because you are part of my heart.
A man can live without a hand, a foot, but he can't live with a broken heart.
But it turns out it's not what was expected. He only says I need you to find me a place, help to understand people. I can see how disappointed Beth is.
But, at the end, I am so willing to believe that this story continues. Beth said "look, how far we have come", and there is still a lot far to go.
