After reading the overall evaluation, the front is plain, the middle is average, and the ending is terrible. Antarctica, what a mysterious land, and a good base for horror themes, it shouldn't be a good idea to make films of this quality. To be honest, the whole story structure can be shot on flat ground; despite the snowstorm and ice corpses, I still don’t feel that I can make good use of the special geographical environment of Antarctica, and I can change the location with a little modification.
Let's talk about the plot again. It is nothing more than a homicide around diamonds. Once people are greedy, they will harm others and take their lives. Too old-fashioned, lack of highlights, who is the bad guy and who is the hidden BOSS is too obvious, and there is no suspense. The UN agents who appeared inexplicably thought that they could have a considerable role in the scene, and even generate some sparks, to change the development of the plot, but they failed one by one. Seeing the back, I didn't understand the relationship between the female police officer's painful memories and the later plot, and even imagined that the UN agent would stage a paragraph similar to the memory. As for the hidden BOSS, please, at least use your identity to fight for it. It's too easy for a doctor to use his hands and feet; what's the point of opening the door smartly and rushing into the blizzard? !
Kate Beckinsale, who is the highlight of the film, is beautiful and good-bodied, as everyone on earth knows, what can be reflected in this Antarctic wrapped like a zongzi? Real acting? I didn't see it, but I still felt it was very average, and I still didn't change the image of relying on cheeks to eat.
Think about what this film also left behind, that is, Antarctica is really beautiful.
