—————————————————— A brief commentary on "Out of Adversity"
"In memory of my father, Edward Elkins, who I never had the pleasure and the honor to know."
—————— Antwone Fisher
watched the entire movie and realized that this is an autobiographical movie, Fisher's autobiographical movie.
At the end of the film, it says:
"In memory of my father who had no chance and honor to know!"
It is a blessing for MR.Fisher to grow up!
No one would want to have a childhood like MR.Fisher.
I have never seen my father. He was born in prison and abandoned by his mother within 2 months. There is no memory of his mother at all. Where did I come from? When MR.Fisher faced Dr. Darwin Porter's first question, he said that he had jumped out of a crack in the rock. I think he had read "Journey to the West".
He was sent to a nursing home and then adopted again. Destiny wavers, but you can't see the sun.
It has always been rainy, and to MR. Fisher, who was still a child, it never seemed to be clear when he was in the nursing home.
Mrs. Tate, who believed in Jesus, adopted the group of children, including MR.Fisher, out of her faith in Jesus (perhaps I can guess).
Where does the nightmare begin? ! The nightmare started a long time ago, but only reached a climax. However, this climax lasted so long!
Corporal punishment, torture, molestation, shooting, these messy things have been with MR.Fisher's entire dark childhood.
This is an indelible shadow that has carved a deep mark in the life of MR.Fisher as an adult.
Manic, irritable, sensitive, low self-esteem, fear of women, longing for friendship, love, longing to be treated equally, he is eagerly longing for the love of others, because of those indelible shameful marks, he is desperately changing himself like a white angel : Endeavour and eager to learn. He reads a lot of books, he learns to paint, he is in the navy, and he yearns for a beautiful and pure love.
Fortunately, he met Doctor Davenport.
In fact, Mr. Davenport was also a poor man who was injured. His wife was unable to have children, and he kept evading this problem. Because of the treatment of MR.Fisher, he slowly began to save himself.
In the doctor's place, MR, Fisher saw trust and love. For the first time, he decided to save himself so frankly, even though the process was so difficult.
Who are the doctors and MR.Fisher to save whom? Life tells us to be kind to ourselves.
MR.Fisher repeated and challenged himself again and again during the treatment.
Sure enough, God was right. In this world, no one can save you except yourself.
However, to bear the darkness before dawn alone can make people feel helpless. With the guidance, companionship and comfort of angels, the short-term darkness will no longer be so terrible. Doctor Davenport, his girlfriend Cheryl, and many people who love MR.Fisher are his angels of light. Without their selfless love and guidance, MR.Fisher can only live in the quagmire of the past, struggling painfully alone.
Take a step forward, and you will find a paradise full of brilliant flowers, which is colorful and full of flowers, which makes people feel at ease. In the end, he chose to let go of those unpleasant pasts, find his real family again, and reap his love.
The real MR.Fisher should be very happy now!
It's just a pity that this kind of happiness is not 100%. He didn't fully forgive his ignorant adoptive mother's family. It was his little sore. Uncovering it naked, it would hurt no matter what!
As mentioned earlier, this is an autobiographical film with artistic expression elements, but more, judging from the simple style of the whole film, it is still the real part. The real person, Mr. MR. Fisher is not Jesus, and can forgive all the foolish mistakes of the world. He also has the right to hate.
I just hope that the remaining hatred is just a few small grains of sand in my heart, and it can't afford the big sand waves.
Best wish to MR.Fisher!
