Since Ray Milan's alcoholic is highly affirmed, why should Nicolas Cage be given a actor in a few decades? Seeing Milan's alcoholic, Cage's alcoholic is simply vulnerable.

Jian Huiman was probably born mature, as if Ge You said that he himself was born older than other children.

But this film is not mature enough. For Billy, this is not his most mature state of work. He just started directing. He has talent, but I think this film can be more perfect in many ways, including the screenwriting part.

The ending of the movie is very bright, but whether the male protagonist can really get out of the circle with no beginning and no end is not necessarily true. In an overall desperate story, the two women's love for the male lead shines brightly. There should be not many movies about alcohol addiction now, but there are quite a few about sex addiction.

The 1946 Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor seems boring. Wilder didn't know what he was thinking when he wrote the script. that is absorbed by the mainline. Immediately thought of Mr. Zhu's "Quitting Smoking, Not Drinking"~

The Lost Weekend quotes

  • Don Birnam: [to Wick and Helen] Most men lead lives of quiet desperation. I can't take quiet desperation!

  • Don Birnam: It shrinks my liver, doesn't it, Nat? It pickles my kidneys, yeah. But what it does it do to the mind? It tosses the sandbags overboard so the balloon can soar. Suddenly I'm above the ordinary. I'm competent. Extremely competent! I'm walking a tightrope over Niagara Falls. I'm one of the great ones. I'm Michaelangelo, molding the beard of Moses. I'm Van Gogh painting pure sunlight. I'm Horowitz, playing the Emperor Concerto. I'm John Barrymore before the movies got him by the throat. I'm Jesse James and his two brothers, all three of them. I'm W. Shakespeare. And out there it's not Third Avenue any longer, it's the Nile, Nat. The Nile and down into the barge of Cleopatra.
