"The Messengers", the first Hollywood movie of the Pang brothers, still continues the horror themes that have been captured in the past. But it clearly seems that the horror this time is just going to the countryside, and it suits the taste of Americans, even if the white-faced ghost is indeed a bit of Asian descent. It seems like a ghost, but the essence is to tell the story of the return of a troubled family.
The 3-year-old brother lost his language ability because of a stubborn drunk driving by the youngest daughter. The original well-off home ran out of last savings during the treatment process. In the face of difficulties, he had to move to a long-abandoned house in the suburbs to start a new life.
In poverty and distress, people will deepen anger and pessimism. This seemingly harmonious family of four actually has cracks in life. The blame is deeply suppressed in my heart, and has not been resolved with the migration. In this unfamiliar place, they have to learn to face new students. All in all, start again. Encouragement between each other is seemingly powerless, and it's just a general far-fetched form.
It seems that ghosts and gods are coming in
gradually, this seemingly secluded and peaceful house reveals its secrets. Terror spreads in the room through the darkness. This proposition is Western, so the child becomes the first perceiver. The two children set in the film have actually lost their ability to express themselves. The 3-year-old brother was injured in a car accident and was physically unable to express. Although my sister is healthy, the accident has never been forgiven by her parents. Therefore, her description is also nonsense and can only be blamed as "willful and persistent".
They need this house. This family with cracks actually loves each other consistently. But the hardships of the past prevented them from venting until they were isolated. They need this house. Say goodbye to the past and start over.
Thus, the appearance of ghosts became an opportunity to save a family of four. Difficulties make them trust each other and rely on them again. The horror turned out to be just the shell of the movie, and the heart of it was the warm story of the return of the family. The Pengshun brothers' trip to the United States this time is not a good start. But at least from the perspective of "The Messengers", our ghost film director still converges too much and chose to be quite satisfactory. Without the entanglement in "Damn", the ghosts have become reasonable. It is reasonable to put it in Hollywood, but we who are used to watching Asian ghost movies can't help but be disappointed.
The crow is full of ghost cars and weeping. So far, the worries here
do not know when it will begin. The crow has become a sign of disaster and an unknown sign. In the movie, it is this group of crows who acted as ghost messengers. Or three or two, or overwhelming. Every time, there was a little dignified atmosphere of unknown reason. This element is a good article in creating a sense of tension and intimidation, and it can be regarded as a surprise and highlight in the movie.
The sun
-shielding sunflower that appeared in the crime movie under the sun is also unbelievably beautiful. I think they still hint at light and hope, even if there have been brutal killings and betrayals in this field. The sun is shining on the earth, and the sun rises and falls, which is a reincarnation. Everything is forgotten in the farewell. At least we still have each other, love, and relatives.
