If you haven't seen Shanger Yundun's previous films, you don't need to watch this one.

This film is quite creative. I have never seen anyone act myself in a film. Before watching it, I had high expectations. I thought it was another action film. It turned out to be a babbling French film. The kind of French film is endless. The dialogue is very irritating. The essence should be the monologue, with helplessness and sigh.
When I was a teenager, I admired the ultimate target, recreating warriors, fast to beat the whirlwind, full of muscles, vigorous skills, from the inside to the outside reveals a cool Shangge Yundun, I really admired the vcd on the floor, as long as There is his face printed on it, no matter whether it looks good or not, I have to buy it home. After more than ten years, I saw him appear on the screen again. He was so old and desolate. I could only sigh the passing of youth. The occasional kicks always reminded me of the wonderful scenes of the past, so that I was distracted.
I watched the second half fast-forward because I didn't like large dialogues. I think movies should be expressed in pictures. Dialogues can only be used as a supplement. Maybe I was too deeply influenced by American films. All in all, this film is suitable for people over 27 years of age, and even younger friends probably haven't seen the film before Shangge Yundun.

JCVD quotes

  • JCVD: [out of breath] It's very difficult for me to do everything in one shot, you know? I'm 47 years old!

  • JCVD: Once in the film "Hard Target", I took a shot from a blank. It took salts to reanimate me.

Arthur: "Hard Target"! John Woo! What an ass!

    JCVD: Don't say that!

    Arthur: C'mon, Jean-Claude, wait a sec!

[to the hostages, referring to Van Damme]

Arthur: He's the one who brought him to the US. Without him, he'd still be filming pigeons in Hong Kong!

    [to Van Damme]

Arthur: And then what? He drops you!

JCVD: At least, he did "Face/Off".

Arthur: So what? He could've picked you!

    JCVD: Yeah... yeah.

Arthur: On the other hand, when you see "Windtalkers", there's a justice... Got any new projects?

    JCVD: Not for now.

Arthur: I saw a thing on the web, what's it called? P-P-Pu-Plur...

    JCVD: Purple. "Purple Amulet".

    Arthur: What about it?

JCVD: Steven Seagal got the part.

    Arthur: What?

JCVD: Steven Seagal got the part.

Arthur: Steven Seagal? You're ten times better!

JCVD: Well, he cut off his couette.

    Arthur: His what?

JCVD: His couette. His ponytail. For the first time!

Arthur: Oh, I see... That's a tough one...
