Routine

This is actually a very old-fashioned story setting-innocent children and wonderful creatures. This kind of story combination can be said to be enduring, like the classic "ET" and the cartoon "Nobita's" released last year. "Dinosaurs" (to be honest, this film is really similar to this one). Apart from the different backgrounds and characters, the story routines of this type of movie are almost the same, surprisingly similar.
This is really strange. The protagonists of this kind of stories are almost all children. They can make friends with all kinds of strange creatures in the movie, and they can see the beauty and wonders of all kinds of nature. In this kind of film, adults are often set up as stupid, stubborn, sophisticated and dangerous, and often appear as negative forces. This is a standard pattern for this type of story. It seems that adults are also not so confident about themselves, or so unreliable, and do not believe that such fairy tales will happen to an adult. Generally, movies that only show adults and strange creatures will be made into thrillers. It seems that nature is very unfriendly to adults.
Of course, this may be the nostalgia and imagination of adult filmmakers for their beautiful childhood!

    Female Tourist: What is that?

Male Tourist: It's a famous picture of the monster. But it's fake.

Female Tourist: How do you know it's fake? It looks real.

Old Angus: Oh, it's fake alright.

Male Tourist: Of course it's fake. Everyone knows that.

Old Angus: We'd know, son. There's more to that photo than meets the eye.

    Male Tourist: Oh ho, really.

Old Angus: Well, if you'd like to know the real truth.

Female Tourist: Yeah, I wanna know. Come on, it'll be fun.

Old Angus: [starts telling the story]
