After watching the animated movie "Tokyo Godfather" for a month, I always wanted to write something, but I was too busy to write.

The ghost animation director Jin Minying died young, leaving only five works, four feature-length films and one TV series. "The Godfather of Tokyo" is Kam Min's third movie and the last one I watched myself. This movie was released in 2003, and it tells a warm story that happened at Christmas——

The transgender woman Ahua, the runaway girl Miyuki and the former cyclist Kim are three wanderers on the streets of Tokyo. The three have formed a strange combination for a long time. On Christmas Eve, they picked up a dump from the garbage dump. infant. Ahua, who is unable to bear children but has been expecting to be a mother, insists on leaving the abandoned baby, and named the child Qingzi. After a night of consideration, Ahua decided to take the child to find parents the next day. Kim and Miyuki were moved, and the three set out together on a journey to find Kiyoko's parents. During this journey, the three had a series of adventures full of coincidences and adventures, and in the process they reconciled with their past self and family.

The three homeless men, each with their own difficulties and unwillingness to tell the past, are grouped together to keep warm after living on the street. This kind of story setting and combination of characters makes people involuntarily reminiscent of the movie "The Thief Family" that was on fire last year. They are different. The background color of "The Thief Family" is sad and helpless, while the background color of "Tokyo Godfather" is kind and warm. The three main characters have their own human weaknesses-Ahua was abandoned since she was a child, and she doesn't know who her parents are. As a transgender, she is not accepted by the mainstream of society. On the surface, she is nerve-wracking, but she is full of loneliness in her heart. Ji is rebellious and self-willed, and has been evading the search for his native family. The middle-aged uncle Jin is drinking, gambling, lying, concealing the fact that he is married and having a daughter, and wandering on the streets to avoid debts and family responsibilities, he can be said to be a scumbag. However, the three of them are kind and simple in nature. They dislike each other in their mouths, and secretly take care of and help each other like family members. When Miyuki was taken away as a hostage, Ahua desperately chased her to find her; when Ahua was injured and was hospitalized, although Jin was distressed and crying, he still took out the thirty thousand yen that he finally saved; 3. My personal strength is meager, but he perseveres in looking for parents for Qingzi Qingzi, but after discovering that Qingzi had been stolen, he tried his best to save her life and take her back.

In the main line of this story, there is no bitterness and helplessness of struggling to survive in the bottom society, no human evil that is forced out by the cruel social reality, everyone is gentle and pure as if they have come out of a fairy tale. generally. Mom San would say to Ah Hua, "If you have any difficulties, come back anytime". The daughter who reunited with Kim in the hospital easily forgave the father who abandoned the family and kidnapped Miyuki’s foreign gangster without any hesitation. The bandit didn't hurt her and took her back to his home. Even the gang boss was a bit straightforward and cute. The sadness of the whole film is focused on the thief Sachiko. The husband and wife were in disharmony thinking that they could use their children to tie up their husbands, but they lost their own children. They went to the hospital in despair and stole someone else’s children. "In Shibata Shindai's setting and Sachiko seem to be). Husbands and children, this is the theme that the women of the bottom struggling to escape.

The characters are set to be pure and good, and the plot of the story is coincidentally purely fictitious. Lu Yu’s underworld boss happened to have a little relationship with Qingzi’s biological parents. The person who saved Ah Jin happened to be the Gay Bar staff Ahua had worked for, and the nurse who rescued Ah Hua after she was injured in the hospital happened to be Ah Jin’s daughter. The last police officer who handled the case was Miyuki's father... If this was a movie, then these coincidences might seem blunt. However, this is an animated movie, Jinmin’s animated movie, isn’t the animated movie used to achieve a plot that cannot be actually shot in a real movie? Isn't Jin Min's animated movie good at dreaming everyone? Of course Jin Min knows that these plot advances are coincidences and novelties. I think this is actually a Christmas dream he created for the audience. In the end, Ah Hua landed from a high building holding Qingzi, holding up their gust of wind and illuminating them. Dao Chenguang looked like a miracle in a dream.

It may be due to the pure character setting and the not tortuous story line, some people commented that this movie is the most mediocre work of Jin Min. In my opinion, this kind of comment does not understand Jin Min's movie. This is not a curious movie. This is the Christmas dream that Jin Min has been dreaming about for everyone.
