The original name of this movie is RACE, and I think it's great.
There are two Chinese meanings for race: race, race. Few people associate these two meanings together. But in front of Jesse Owens, these two mean a terrible multiple-choice question: "Whether to participate in a competition organized by a racist?"
Jesse Owens and Forrest Gump in Forrest Gump have very similar experiences. An imperfect childhood suffered from discrimination. Efforts, struggle, and success in life. In fact, I always thought this was a purely fictional movie like "Forrest Gump", until the end I found out that Jesse Owens had this person.
The movie does not exaggerate the reality of Jesse. Jesse in history is a great athlete himself. Four gold medals in the Olympics broke the world record. His presence astounded the world and made Hitler, the leader of the host country, annoyed. Aryan supreme, how could he allow a black man to shine so brightly in his land!
Racial discrimination and competition constitute various contradictions in the film. Participating in the competition means recognition of the Nazi regime. Losing to the whites at the Olympics means that the Nazis are right. The domestic opposition is very loud, and it is conceivable that Jesse’s pressure is also not small.
However, a genius is a genius. Pressure and resistance are not obstacles to his way forward. One champion, two champions, three champions, Jesse Owens on the field is unstoppable and proved himself, but it does not seem to change anything.
After the game, discrimination still exists. Blacks still could not enter the so-called exclusive spaces for whites, and Jews were still slaughtered during World War II.
But did he change anything? There are too. He proved their mistakes to the tyrannical and racist people, and proved their ignorance and ignorance. He is the voice of many people who can't make a sound, and he is even more piercing the heart of discriminators with a shining sharp blade.
But maybe, race is not a multiple choice question at all in his eyes. Born to run, he doesn't care about the so-called skin color. The sound of discrimination is nothing but noise. It may be very loud and intimidating, but it is distracting. When you face this voice bravely, he will retreat.
The best way to resist discrimination may be to flout discrimination.
"Race discrimination may not be changed right away, but I believe it will fade with various efforts and various spirits until there is no racial discrimination in the world. This is a long process."
It's a pity that it's 2020, and we haven't waited until this day.
You can think of race as a movie, but to me, this is already a piece of history.
