"Shakespeare was the son of the glovemaker. At some point he went to London. According to legend, he became an actor and finally a playwright. His biological father and children were completely illiterate. His will included a book or manuscript. It is also not mentioned that there is no manuscript of any kind. It has been discovered that it was written by Shakespeare, and there is not even a document for four hundred years." So how did he write his play?

Synopsis

The story takes place in the late 15th century, during the British Renaissance .

Benjamin (played by Sebastian Amesto) is a poet and dramatist, and the plays he writes are usually performed in the theater.

However, William Cecil (played by David Huris) , the assistant minister of the British royal family, thought that his play was inciting.

So he sent someone to arrest Benjamin and put him in jail

Unexpectedly, Benjamin was taken to a small castle after being released on bail by a mysterious man.

He was received by a handsomely dressed and well-mannered man.

He was Cecil's son-in-law and released him under the guise of his father-in-law, but Benjamin didn't know why he did it.

The man handed him a script and asked to perform in the theater in his name.

It turns out that the man is Edward Deville (Rice Evans) , the 17th Earl of Oxford , who likes to write dramas.

But in the British palace, writing drama is not a business, and it will put the royal family to shame.

So he thought of publishing his own play in the name of others, and seeing it by thousands of people, its content can affect the people.

Edward said that if the effect is good, he can continue to provide scripts, and he also paid a large sum of money as compensation.

But the premise is that Benjamin must be tight-lipped.

Benjamin is a noble man, he hesitated whether he should do this.

So thoughtfully, he told the drama actor William Shakespeare ( played by Rafi Spoel) .

After the performance began, the impassioned lines soon infected all the audience, and the thunderous applause could not be subdued for a long time.

But at the end of the performance, Shakespeare shamelessly signed his name on the script and made it clear to everyone.

Edward, who was watching secretly, was surprised, but for him, fame was more important than everything, and he couldn't explain it.

Later, Benjamin approached Ed Huawei to apologize for the incident and told him that he did not tell Shakespeare where the script came from.

Edward has no choice. He decides to make mistakes. Through Benjamin, he continuously provides the script to Shakespeare, fulfilling his wish.

In this way, every performance was a success, and Shakespeare became a household name.

But over time, the greedy Shakespeare was not satisfied with the small theater.

So he asked Benjamin for money to build a bigger theater.

The unreasonable request was rejected by Benjamin, but Shakespeare discovered Edward’s identity through disguised tracking...

Film Analysis

I like this movie very much. It is not only the oil painting-like texture and the fantasies of the famous playwright Shakespeare , but the important thing is that the excellent performance of the actors makes me completely believe this story. The lead actor Reese Evans’ interpretation of the role is very successful, and the involuntary powerlessness of being trapped in the palace is unobstructed. Later, in the process of watching his works come out, the accurate expression of the progressive emotions is even more moving.

The film uses a two-line narrative and tells us two stories, and the connection between these two stories is Edward Deville, the Earl of Oxford, who has a great talent for poetry and literature. In the movie, he is the original author of Shakespeare's plays and has a close relationship with Queen Elizabeth. The director uses Edward's tragic life to tell us that only the most tragic characters can write the four tragedies that shocked the world .

Destiny is always good for people . Edward, who has lived in the court since he was a child, does not love power and love poems. He is not supported but has always insisted on his hobbies. He has been writing plays since he was a child. He has always believed that words can bring rights. In fact, he is not wrong. Words can change the minds of the masses , and mass foundation is the basis of the stability of the kingdom . However, the difficulty he faces is that his words cannot be known to the masses.

So he found Benjamin, and wanted to use his name to perform his own script to achieve his goal, but by mistake, Benjamin’s hesitation gave Shakespeare a chance, but in the case of the extremely successful first performance, Edward decided to give Shakespeare the wrong one. Continue to name one's own script, which also laid the bane for subsequent failures.

The most humble person is invincible. It is Shakespeare who is cheap and good. He is insatiable, and he is not satisfied with everything he obtained out of thin air. After killing Kidd who blackmailed him, he had an idea and thought that he could also use blackmail. Dealing with Edward, but this also touched Benjamin’s bottom line. After watching Edward’s plays, Benjamin knew that he was a hundred times more talented than himself. He already admired him so much. How can Benjamin who is loyal to the words let him not learn and useless? Shakespeare defiled?

But at this time, Shakespeare was already deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Benjamin, who had no choice, used the least ought to be used to inform Cecil's men in order to get Shakespeare caught and make him pay the price, but the final result we have all seen . Edward has exhausted all his possessions and wrote a shocking drama in his life, but ended up with such a sad ending, which is embarrassing, but the words that Benjamin said to Mrs. Edward at the end of the film are the core of the film, "Madam, The only reason you, your family, and even me, and even Queen Elizabeth herself, will be remembered by later generations, is that we are fortunate to live in the age when your husband wrote inked on paper."

What do poor writers and poets bring to us? When we laugh at them for failing to gain political power, should we think about who made history be remembered in our hearts, and who wrote wonderful chapters for future generations to extol? When we sing praises to the ancients who once had great achievements, don't forget to write about the unknown heroes who are not known about the deeds of these ancients.

Words may not win the kingdom, but they can make your heroic deeds go down in history and be praised by future generations. The ancient monuments were not made of bricks and stones, but were built by the poet under the pen of the poet.
