Color of Stars and Chernobyl

Saw the beginning with friends. The classic setting far away from people's smoke farmhouse and the inexhaustible acting skills of a few young actors were dull. Unknowingly, my friend went back to the room, and I fell asleep drinking wine. Is this the magic of Cthulhu!

I woke up from a nap and continued to watch with signs of hangover symptoms. Seeing that it is difficult to tell whether the nausea and dizziness are caused by whiskey or the movie, it can be seen that wine and Cthulhu complement each other.

Looking at the overall situation, the entry point of the film is not satisfactory, but as the plot progresses, it can still easily be favored by Cthulhu fans-be sure to stick to the first 20 minutes of the American horror movie cliché family life segment. The story takes place in modern times, and the protagonist lives in a family of five (a father who is engaged in alpaca breeding, a mother who engages in online stock trading, the eldest daughter of a Cthulhu lover, the eldest son who hasn’t figured out his hobbies, and a child with glasses). In the farm deep in the forest, even though every family has hard-to-read scriptures, they could make it through--until that night, a meteorite of fluorescent pink and purple-red fell from the sky...

Yaozi was young, and he suffered a lot from the very beginning, and made psychic friendships with invisible friends in the well; then his mother cut off her fingers and the adults drove into the city for medical treatment; they went home and found everything messed up, and they treated the housekeeping children repeatedly. The accusation is just refusing to face the reality and wasting precious escape time (of course, because they didn’t know they were in a horror movie); the mother and baby son were hit by indescribable fluorescent rays together and turned into a mother-child compound beast. After a short rest, it turned out to be full of new vitality! ! The eldest daughter was desperate, flipping through the happy and beloved "Book of the Necropolis," and praying to Cthulhu Cthulhu: "I need help, I need protection." From this appeal, she obviously chose the wrong object to worship. The eldest son went down to rescue the dog and GG very happily (only he didn't have to be tired and troublesome, and left easily). Dad suffered from the shock of his beloved wife's mutation and became mentally disordered.

The "unexplainable fear" in the film is exceptionally well presented, perhaps due to insufficient funding and inability to produce large-scale CG. It's enough to just let us skim some clips, nothing can be done better than imagination. At the end of the film, the scene where the girl stands by the well and the stars burst out is very impactful.

Before watching "The Scream of Chernobyl", the locals said that on the second day of the incident, the nearby vegetation was covered with an indescribable and unseen color. I went back to confirm that works that love craftsmanship were discovered decades earlier than nuclear. But aren’t the explosions and consequences of the color of stars just like this kind of destructive weapon later invented by mankind? Even it will bring different and even beautiful colors... This is incredible foreseeability.

In the end, I still insist that changing to a family of five that is not so typical of a horror film will make the movie even more exciting.

  • Lavinia: Do you believe me now?

Nathan Gardner: I don't know what I believe anymore.

  • Ward: What touched this place cannot be quantified or understood by human science. It was just a color out of space. A messenger from realms whose existence stuns the brain and numbs us with the gulfs that it throws open before our frenzied eyes.
