The weak and suspicious avenger

Many remarks say that Hamlet has transformed from a simple child to a strong avenger, but I don’t think so. I think Hamlet is always weak. He has only changed from a weak and innocent child to a weak and suspicious avenger until his death, including the successful duel of the final revenge. It was Leati arranged for his father’s revenge, not Hamlet. Voluntarily requested. The environment in which he grew up had to make him strong. This is not really strong. This is a skill that he has to possess for revenge, like a high-rise building cast under unstable foundations.

Hamlet is lonely, and there is no one by his side who can be trusted to rely on. Uncle killed her father to usurp the throne; mother's betrayal of his father; his good friend Rosenkran betrayed himself; the beloved girl Ophelia had nothing but promises to her father. He doesn't believe in family, friendship, or love, and Hamlet is suspicious and dissatisfied with his own world.

Shakespeare himself said that there are a thousand Hamlet in a thousand people's hearts, so everyone can look at this story according to their different experiences, and the same thing is that everyone will have a painful process of transformation like Hamlet.

It may be the only "Hamlet" movie that does not delete a sentence. The background seems to be moved to Tolstoy's pen, and the shooting method is quite remarkable. Depressed and vicissitudes of life, Ophelia is very beautiful, but neither is crazy enough

It turns out that Kate Winslet had not yet boarded the famous ship at that time. The lines are of course good, but it is a bit like watching a drama and remembering Interview with the Vampire at Night.

Hamlet quotes

  • Polonius: [Talking aside to himself] Though this be madness, yet there is method in't!

  • Claudius: Where is Polonius?

[Strikes Hamlet with the back of his hand]

Hamlet: In heaven. Send thither to see. If your messenger find him not there, seek him in the other place yourself!
