A tough life needs no explanation

Yesterday I didn't take a nap at noon. I watched a British film "keeping Mum" endlessly. The Chinese translation of "Keeping Silence" was translated into "Killer Miao Manager" by TV station.

A young and beautiful woman was sentenced to prison for homicide. Before entering the prison, she turned her head and smiled at the prison guard: “It seems that I don’t have time to have a cup of afternoon tea.” I have

n’t thought about the consequences of the murder, maybe it’s just that I can’t. Drinking afternoon tea is so simple.

This is definitely not a boring movie about criminal psychology. On the contrary, it has a warm tone, a witty plot, and just a little bit tough.

The background of the story is set in a small town with only 57 people (this setting is very important, everyone should keep in mind), but the pastor's family favored by God actually breeds many uneasy factors: the pastor is incomprehensible, his wife is out of the wall, and his daughter The nymphomaniac is indiscriminate, his son is bullied, and the situation is getting worse. Until one day, a loving voice said to his son who had just been thrown to the ground by his classmates: Let me pull you up. That little bit of force came out, and an old lady who appeared in "Harry Potter" (sorry I don't remember the name) started to turn the tide step by step in her own way.

The wife suddenly found out that the evil dog that made him unable to sleep every night disappeared, the serious husband became a master at telling jokes, the idiot daughter fell in love with cooking, the son who was always bullied cheered and killed his opponent... It is inexplicable! Only the old lady smiled unpredictably.

The pastor said in his speech: Happiness is actually very simple. It only needs to get a little grace from God (GRACE). And Grace is the name of the old lady, is she the gift of God to this family?

If the answer is yes, then God must be a little bad old man. Grace's method is to kill people or things that hinder life and dissatisfaction. Grace said, I always want to eliminate those things that don't suit me. My doctor tried to convince me that it was wrong, but I still insisted on it. 43 years ago, she was a beautiful young woman who went to jail for killing and mutilating her husband and his mistress. After 43 years, she was released on parole and came to the home of her daughter who was taken away from her when she was born. She started living in the name of a housekeeper in Grace's way. Therefore, the dog who barked every night, the rude neighbor looking for her pet dog, the lover who spied on the wife of the priest’s daughter undressing, and the old lady of the chairperson of the floral committee who worried that her place would be taken away all the time. The tough old lady Grace wiped it out with a shovel and iron, and the small pond in the town became their home.

When the pastor's wife learned that Grace was her mother, she wept bitterly and said: I have always longed for a mother and eager to snuggle next to her like other children. Today I finally have it, but I want to abandon the body with her. Seeing this really makes me dumbfounded. It's obviously a warm story, but there must be a killer on the scene. It's a cruel solution, but I'm so relieved. It's really confusing logic. As the pastor said, maybe God doesn't like us asking questions. How can there be so many problems? Just live your own way. A tough life needs no explanation.

A tough lifestyle has a fatal appeal. When faced with two innocent workers who insisted on draining the pool, the priest's wife consciously took the mother's banner and killed the undesirable person. The women of the Grace family, apart from liking handsome men together, have also chosen to live a strong life together. It's just that this small town of 57 people will disappear sooner or later in their tough lives, right? However, what does it matter?

Postscript: The appearance of the tough old lady reminded me of a trilogy of fairy tales "Aunt Mary Poppins", one of which was once used as the prototype of the movie "The Sound of Music" on the big screen. It's a pity that I haven't watched that movie. I'm only familiar with the song "Doraimi" in it. But if I want to find out where it works with "Keeping Mum", I suggest watching a fairy tale.

Keeping Mum quotes

  • Grace Hawkins: This is Grace speaking. Would you like to come out from under the bed?

    Gloria Goodfellow: Um... Coming.

  • Gloria Goodfellow: It's just not fair. Other daughters get to plan weddings, bake cakes, go shopping with their mothers. What do I do? Dispose of dead bodies.
