Save a movie at the end

There are obvious shortcomings in screenwriting in the styles of "Stranger Things" and "Return to the Clown" in small town youth growth movies. After a lot of preparations were made in the early stage, two of the four friends were absent in the middle and late stages.

But this movie is very well done in the style of the American town in the retro 80s; the horror atmosphere created when exploring the murderer's house is also very good. The most successful place lies in its end. Different from the ordinary teenagers defeating the bad guys finale, this movie gives a true and cruel ending in a dark tone. The killer escaped capture, and came back in the middle of the night to retaliate, killing the protagonist’s best companion, severing the protagonist’s hamstrings, and deliberately not killing the protagonist but telling him to keep his life so that he could be killed at any time. Come back in fear of revenge. Who said that the young life must be sunny?

Don't forget, if you unfortunately break through the darkness hidden under the society, you will find that the truth is far more cruel than the movie.
