Almodóvar and the women on the verge of collapse

I finally bought the Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar's "Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" and couldn't wait to plug it into the DVD player. After a chaotic and clichéd opening, the story fluttered indiscriminately like an off-line balloon.

The heroine desperately finds the man who just broke up to tell him that she is pregnant with his child. This leads to other women who are in trouble for love. The shots are full of burnt sheets, broken phones, and sleeping pills and juices. The smoke filled with gunpowder like a war.

Appropriately, a warm taxi and taxi driver appeared in the movie. The car is equipped with paper towels, cigarettes, toys, eye drops and other items for passengers. The heroine sat in the car crying, and the male driver accompany her in tears. All the impetuous chaos that filled the sky quickly settled down, becoming warm and peaceful.

Pedro Almodóvar adheres to the usual complicated plot, serving dishes again and again like a grand banquet, uncovering one by one. The TV screen at midnight was shining with blue light, looking lonely and charming. Watching exhaustedly, some eloquent men's mouths and innocent women's crying eyeliners passed occasionally in front of her eyes. Finally couldn't stand it, fell asleep deeply on the sofa.

The more tacky the plot, the more warm it makes people feel.

The heavy makeup and hysteria that stop at the form, the inside is just because of the fear of the harm caused by the man. Forgive and let go. "Happiness is always more important than politics, gleefully abandons moral codes, takes shocking world for granted, extols any sexual orientation, splendid art and over-the-top behavior, often producing insanely incongruous narratives, or inadequate character structures, Sometimes more like style for style's sake"

In fact, the lover who only wants a word of communication, the ex-wife who is in desperation, the fool who is in a ridiculous trap, and the virgin who can’t sleep because of love... Men, life, and emotions all push them to the "border of collapse", one The buckle turns into a female Ukiyo-e that makes people laugh or cry. PS When he was young, Rossy de Palma still looks like that...it’s really "not old face".

  • Policía I: What's going on?

Pepa: Nothing. Just discussing the lady's dress.

    Candela: [in tears] It's awful!

    Carlos: It's only a dress.

    Candela: But it's awful!

  • Carlos: [Carrying Marisa, who has passed out, onto the patio] But a minute ago...

Pepa: A minute ago she wanted to go home but since you ignored her, she got depressed and had some gazpacho.

Carlos: Ah. That made her fall asleep?

Pepa: Yes. It was spiked with barbiturates. Sorry.
