L'Auberge Espagnole is a very interesting French comedy film. In order to find a job in international trade, a university student named Xavier decided to go to Barcelona, Spain as an exchange student for one year. He has a girlfriend who is played by the actress who played Amelie. The two are going to be separated, and the young man is very sad. Thinking of the future life, he actually cried on the plane. On the plane, he met a doctor working in Barcelona and his newly married wife. Xavier didn't like doctors who talked, but when he landed, he ran into trouble and couldn't find a place to live, so he had to go to the doctor's house to sleep on the sofa. After some setbacks, I finally found an apartment shared with several other young people, everyone from different countries: Britain, Denmark, Russia, Germany...English has become the public language. At the same time at school, he met a Belgian girl who shared a common language, and soon he introduced her to live with her.
According to the movie, Barcelona is very crowded, similar to the big cities in China. The doctor asked Xavier to accompany his wife because he didn't have time to accompany his wife and the wife didn't speak Spanish. Xavier fell in love with the doctor's wife and discovered that the Belgian female classmate was originally gay. However, he and the gay girls explained everything. Soon Xavier's girlfriend came to visit, and the two didn't get along well. He returned to France to visit relatives, and his girlfriend proposed to break up with him.

The doctor's wife confessed the relationship between the two to the doctor, and the doctor stopped letting Xavier into his house.
A year passed quickly. Xavier saw a charming Spanish dance teacher at the bar farewell, and hurriedly greeted the doctor and his wife. From being overwhelmed to reluctant to give up, a year of living in a foreign country has changed a lot of people.
