Grace

I came across this film today really like a blessing from God, and it feels like I haven't encountered such an interesting movie for a long time. The story is like an afternoon tea in the courtyard of a British nobleman. Infidelity, abusive sex, bloody murder... All unreasonable, legal, and immoral incidents have become the quiet old lady’s chat, accompanied by gentle and witty talk. The music, talk about it. When the "good" life of Pastor GoodFellow and his wife Gloria (Gloria Glory) was on the brink of desperation, it was just like that, when the grandmother butler Grace (Grace's favor) came suddenly... the meaning of the word comes from the Bible. Before he knew it, he brought it back to the right track, or in other words, a more fulfilling life. (Even the name is full of metaphors of God, haha)
In fact, isn't this another kind of story where good is rewarded for evil and evil is rewarded for evil? Goodfellers (good people) in real life believe in beautiful things. They face helplessness on the football field (it can be said to be a mirror of incompetence). They face people who are tired of boring moral preaching. Mr. Brown who knows how to self-discipline and raises a noisy dog, Mrs. Parker who is nagging, a cowardly bullied son (probably a symbol of the next generation of good people himself), a daughter who doesn’t love herself... even , The wife who symbolizes "Glory" was almost destroyed by Lance (lance javelin, which can be understood as a deadly weapon that deprives others of happiness). So our good people need God’s grace to give them a new life, learn to improperly reject bad good people, and eliminate those who immorally harm others’ happiness. Of course, it’s also very important to change themselves, whether it’s work or life. , Add some condiments-so-called well-tuned chicken soup is just like that.
At the end of the speech, Mr. "Good Guy", who is the finishing touch in the film, said:

How should we deal with the problems that we must face in life? Sometimes such a problem only requires us to take action, make judgments, ask others for help, make up our minds...and then solve it.
But in other cases, what is needed is something elusive, sometimes only a little favor (Grace), a little favor from God (Grace), and then all the problems are solved.
So, should we ask the Lord to explain to us? Should he be asked what method he used? Or just enjoy grace?
Well, I think the merciful Lord would not want us to ask too much. Isaiah 55th verse 8: "My way is not the same as yours." I think what he really wants to say is: "I am a mystery, mortal, obey."

This is The so-called action depends on people, and success depends on heaven. But in reality, good people can only rely on themselves (or if they are lonely, seek friends or even lovers who are also good people), and strive to create favors. Otherwise, even the superficial crown of "good people", this glory, It will only be taken away by the cruel world.

I think it can be summed up like this: "Keeping Mum", and wait the GRACE, or do the GRACE yourself! :)

Keeping Mum quotes

  • Grace Hawkins: This is Grace speaking. Would you like to come out from under the bed?

    Gloria Goodfellow: Um... Coming.

  • Gloria Goodfellow: It's just not fair. Other daughters get to plan weddings, bake cakes, go shopping with their mothers. What do I do? Dispose of dead bodies.
