The story starts from 1992 in the last century. Three Belgian film students feel that there are too many double-gun killers in black shirts, black pants and black super on the market, and they have excessively romanticized and heroic the profession of killers. Even deified, so I decided to shoot a set of killer movies called "man bites dog" (also known as: It Happened In Your Neighborhood), and filmed in the form of a black-and-white documentary, hoping to present the real side of a killer more fleshly . Since it is a pseudo-documentary, there is no story at all. The three directors follow the killer Ben every day to film his daily life, such as eating breakfast with his family, singing while walking on the street, or often publishing a lot of great stories for no reason. In theory, occasionally they will also appear in front of the camera, participating in the work of killing people and even abandoning corpses. Ben is actually not a professional assassin. In other words, no one has ever called Ben to kill someone or buy someone with his right hand. He kills people out of pleasure or just for money; he can do it for the same purpose. The table said something unpleasant and sent a bullet into his head, or because the director's funds were exhausted, he could kill them and steal money for them. In the assassin’s career, there are inevitably a large number of killing scenes. The pressure of each killing is suffocating, because the assault methods are primitive and rough every time. From the beginning of the film, Ben is in a train card. Drag a woman into the car, and choke her to death alive, no background music, no screams, no struggle, no bleeding, and no reason — why kill this woman? What is the motivation? Why act on the train? Without explaining it at all, the audience just watched a scene where life disappeared before their eyes for no reason, which was very shocking.
But don’t conclude that this is just a purely abnormal movie. If you have enough sense of humor, this is actually a very funny black humor movie. Every time I see Ben singing or playing the piano or making fallacies, I will laugh: "It's a real street friend~!" Especially when you have seen his neck brace shape, you will agree: Is there a killer on the side? But why not? As the other name of the movie says: It Happened In Your Neighborhood~!!
