Pirate culture

This is a remake of THE FOG in 1980. It is an old ghost story. Naturally, there is nothing new. However, it can be seen that the film director is still very careful. Therefore, when the broken sailing ship appeared, I was still a little worried. Those sailors who stretch out their hands in the moonlight will turn into skeletons (remember the Pirates of the Caribbean?)

This is a story about revenge. The victim is not simply an innocent person, but the offspring of the offender. We can be relieved that those pirates (I mean Europeans and Americans) are finally able to examine their pirate culture from a newer perspective. They are no longer single-minded to snatch, but regret their crimes. Their lives come from their looting and the blood and tears of the looted people.
This is something to be proud of in this movie.

  • Father Malone: We're the children of murderers. All of us. Wayne, Castle, Williams, Malone...
