I can only remember so much about the plot development of Timeline 1. The content that makes me feel the most "something" is the timewalker attribute of ruth. Voice of God, black and white Henry, warden and priest, French girl, special attributes of ruth, special attributes and death of molly, different identities and weird deaths of the prison guard brother in timeline 1 and 2, so-called demon attributes, What the old police did in the past... Regarding the little girl who appeared with a knife, this is the story of a rock castle 200 years ago. She appeared in a forest where time and space collided. The girl’s appearance at the end of the series feels more like a little paving for the story of the second season later, to form a big story for the entire Rock Fort...
Regarding the "Voice of God", the strength of the voice of God has a great relationship with that mysterious forest. The priest heard the voice of God for the first time, and the young Black Henry said that he heard that voice, and the two that appeared in the forest later. The human group’s dialogue, combined with the 200-year-old space where the forest appeared at the end of the ninth episode, said that the voice of God appeared as a result of the collision of magnetic fields. He rushed to the forest, was taken back to the police station and said "there is no time" (similar words), then ran to the forest and returned to timeline 1.
Taking a closer look at the timeline, the story development of the two lines is roughly the same, but about the Ruth family, they are quite different. In the story of Black Henry in Timeline 1, Ruth did not choose to leave the priest. Instead, he chose to stay in the small town and stay at home to protect his boy. However, due to the estrangement between her husband and the love of the old policeman, I feel that her marriage is unhappy. The accumulation of these little details has finally become the cause of the tragedy of Ruth and Alan. In addition, the warden’s story also hints at the town’s biggest source of economic power-Shawshank Prison. Dark, the prison guard’s little brother was in this prison system, and eventually he was smashed because he couldn’t stand the squeeze between inner justice and dark reality. Attributes and cleaning methods must also be in line with the characteristics of the characters. For example, a family of four died due to magnification of family conflicts. The patient with metastatic cancer cells may have similar cells that are latent and amplified after the cancer cells spread and metastasize and die. As for the little brother of the prison guard, he only played a role in magnifying his inner pain and gloom).
In Henry White’s world, there is no warden, and there is no Shawshank prison. White Henry supports Ruth in finding his own life. Ruth also made a corresponding choice that he did not regret. This poster always reminds me of the relationship between Castle Rock and Ruth in the first season. Otherwise, why is there no black and white Henry? Why is it just ruth standing there? What does ruth stand for? Combining the above analysis and Ruth's regret in Episode 7, I feel that the two lines describe the different time and space stories of Ruth bravely making a choice and not making a choice.
