story
The story of "The Murder in Mystery Town" is that if it is suspenseful, it only maintains 1/3 of the plot. A black family moved into a new town established by the white middle class. The whole town was boiling, as if everyone's cake had been bitten. The white leftists expressed their indignation in the affairs committee aggressively, clenching their fists and shouting loudly. , The white skin turned pink because of the red blood streaks of excitement.
However, in the neighbourhood of black people, the white boy Nicky broke into the robber's house. His father, who was the head of the family, was arrested with his hands. He also called the whole family down to have a round table meeting and bullied the robbers. This in itself was a pre-announced murder case. Okay? ! While everyone was enjoying a handful of Mongolian sweat medicine, Nicky saw that his mother had enjoyed two. Sure enough, my mother died, and when the police organized family members to confess the criminals, the father refused to let his son in because he was afraid of leaving a psychological shadow on the child. But Nicki, who sneaked in, found that the criminal was right in front of him, and the aunt and father tried their best not to admit it. This incident really left a psychological shadow on the child.
At this point in the story, the case is not complicated at all. The father played by Matt Damon and the sister-in-law played by Julian Moore have affair. Wife, I hope to cheat the insurance again and then fly away.
Okay, from here, Matt Damon has become the kind of greedy and incapable of hatred in the works of the Coen Brothers (screenwriters). His fate started from a bad thing he designed and was taken by others. Hold the handle, and then fall down like a domino until it loses control.
And the little boy Nicky is a bit like the protagonist in Hitchcock's pen, step by step to uncover the truth of the matter and walk into terrifying scenes. Therefore, the whole viewing process is a line of black humor that makes you smile, and the shocking music with suspense makes you inexplicably scared.
Satire
Since the case is neither fierce nor fascinating, what does the director want to say with such a tone? Think about it carefully, the whole movie hides bad, serious suspense but full of teasing. I won’t go into details about the out-of-control white people in racial discrimination. You can talk about the three conversations between Liu Yu's father and Nicky. In the bathroom for the first time, he told his son that what you saw was an illusion. It might be a problem with your brain. My aunt and I have never seen these two people. The dialogue itself is also a deception, but it is only a general confusion of concepts. The second time in his study, he was going to take his sister-in-law to run away, and was afraid that the robber would kill his son, so he told his son that in order to better educate you, I will send you to a militarized boarding school. A good person, finally he especially held his son's hand and said "Congratulations!". This is the second time to deceive, with darker motives, using "be nice to you" as a guise to get rid of your burden. The third time Dad’s majesty collapsed completely. The child knew all the truth silently and witnessed the fact that the whole family was destroyed. At the dinner table, Dad was eating the poisonous supper by his aunt while using the tone of the people who came over. Threaten your son, become an adult or become a great person, you choose yourself! Either I killed you, stabbed myself a few more times, and told the police that the murderer came to the house again, and I did not save my son; or you went to the police station with me to lie, and all tragedies were committed by robbers, and then I took You go to Aruba to have the happiest life. This last time, it was no longer a deception, but a coercion enveloped by the evil of human nature. These three progressive conversations were extremely pungent.
On the night of the incident, the white family was wiped out because of the ugly human nature and greed, while other whites in the black courtyard next door were violently smashing into the sky. The role of the entire "anti-black" line was clearly revealed. In the television news the next day, the whites were heartbroken why the black family had not moved away, while Nicky and the black kid crossed the fence and played baseball together. Whether the director George Clooney or the screenwriter Cohen Brothers happens to be Nicky’s generation, is the judgment of the father’s generation in the whole film quite ruthless?
So associative like me, I recalled my aunt’s macarons’ dress and smirk, poetically recite the chapters in the book, and my dad was crying dumbly while pinching the grip, and it was playing on TV all the time. The black news and so on, the more serious they are, the more serious they are, the more you want to laugh.
Ps:
Nicky entered the dark room and saw the denial of the murderer and his father. Nicky took the knife and plucked up the courage to walk into the basement. Nicky hid under the bed to survive. He saw his uncle come in and fight, feeling the robber and uncle fighting on the bed. These passages are simply enjoyable for those who like Hitchcock.
The whole movie is very neat, with no jumpers and big omissions. You can say that George Clooney has no amazing talents, but you can see that he is an excellent director, and the control of all types of work is in place.
