This is a classic detective suspense film initiated by Rubin Marmolian and completed by Otto Preminger. The film uses stylized narrative, compact atmosphere, black and white photography, and several main actors’ The wonderful performance constitutes a black boutique that will last forever. The film was released in 1944 and is a suspenseful noir film on love. The film starts from the investigation into the mysterious death of a beautiful advertising model Lola. While investigating the relevant people, the detective Mike in charge of this case learned many things about Lola from the mouth of the columnist Waldo, so he hung up on Lola’s home. One of the portraits produced a lot of illusions. Unexpectedly, Lola was not dead at all, the body they found was someone else
