"The King's Hologram" mainly talks about what happened to the American Allen when he was on a business trip to Arabia to show their hologram technology to the Arab king.
Simply put, this is the story of a middle-aged man.
The story is divided into two main lines, one is the life of Allen himself, and the other is the entire international trade.
In terms of life, Allen has troubles among family members, has divorced his wife, and his ex-wife is mean to him. Under the pressure of money, the factory opened with his father was on the verge of bankruptcy, unable to pay for his daughter's college education. Difficulties at work, the discomfort of being alone in a remote place, the perfunctory and uncooperative anger of Arabs, and the remote pressure of leaders, who monitor work progress by phone and text messages every day.
In terms of international trade, China's rapid technological development and low cost have gained many business opportunities both in the United States and abroad, posing a threat to them.
At the same time, this is also part of Allen's life. After so long and hard work, he finally made a wonderful product demonstration for the Arab King. In fact, the Arabs already have a choice, but they are kept in the dark.
The movie takes a long time to describe his first three nights in Arabia, which is also my favorite place.
On the first night, he saw the blessing E-mail sent by his daughter. His daughter’s understanding made him think a lot, and his body seemed to be facing him with an inexplicable lump on the spine of his back. His heart was An unspeakable worry, this lump is affecting his spine, and I don't know how serious it will be. Calling my father, I wanted to relieve my boredom, but my father kept talking about China's construction of a bridge in the United States, which made his irritable heart even more anxious.
The beginning of the story heralds the result.
The next night, he responded to his daughter's e-mail while drinking spirits. When he was drunk, he said what he had never had the courage to say: Apology to his daughter and helplessness of his current situation, and while drunk, he did what he wanted to do but did not dare to do: cut his back with a knife Lumps on the top.
The third night was after a conversation with the architect Hassan. Obviously, Hassan, who has been stationed here for a long time, has not had any sales so far, and he has not received any promise from anyone, which makes him even less hopeful. He had a stroke that night, but fortunately the timely rescue made him escape the danger.
In fact, it was just three ordinary nights, but the tight rhythm of the BGM, coupled with Tom Hanks's proper interpretation of the characters' feelings, made the characters' emotions reach a climax when they were alone at night.
And the next day, he also had to show up in front of his subordinate employees energetically, and act confidently and in control in front of them, encouraging them to look away from the simple facilities, and at the same time cheer himself up to deal with the Arabs.
He can feel his unyielding every time he walks from his work place to the gorgeous office building with his firm steps.
It's just that many things are beyond his control. As far as he can reach, he has done the best, but in the end there is still no result.
Movies still have the benefits of movies, and the protagonist will have a happy ending.
The end of the story is very gratifying. Allen meets someone who understands him, and the two walked together. He stayed in Arabia and found a high-paying job (Is it a house salesperson? Was the house designed by the architect Hassan who talked to at that time? Just guessing...), and could pay for his daughter's college expenses. And his happiest thing every day is to go home and spend every moment with each other.
It's not that you don't try your best if you don't succeed, but that sometimes the results are beyond your control.
People who work hard are worthy of respect.
