Brian Clough is a legend

Before going to bed, I habitually changed several TV stations randomly, and happened to be broadcast on the Beijing Film and Television Channel. When I watched a TV movie about football, I suddenly didn't want to sleep. The prototype in the film is hailed as the most successful British coach so far-Bryan Clough, who took over Nottingham Forest after the failure of Leeds United coaching and won the European Champions Cup twice in 1979 and 1980. So far no other English team has achieved such results. Looking at the brilliance of Derbyshire and Leeds back then, it is a bit sad to think about the current situation.

OMG, it's so rotten, it turns out that MS can also act in such a BL movie, the director is really evil, hahaha

Was completely conquered. He is not a sports film, the actors are not acting, and the music does not play a role to set the atmosphere. How does football get the championship again and again? I can't say it, I just think the film provides a feasible answer. The championship is important, but the world is more important. The photography is really good. When I watched it, I kept thinking about Kaiserslautern brought by Otto the Great. I go back to the old days.

The Damned United quotes

  • Michael Parkinson: How do you react when someone says, "Boss, you're doing it wrong?"

Brian Clough: Well, I ask him how *he* thinks it ought to be done. And then we get down to it, and we talk about it for twenty minutes, and then we decide that I was right.

  • Muhammed Ali: [Clough, Taylor & their families watch Muhammed Ali on television] Some fella in London, England named, some Brian... Brian Clough. I heard all the way in America that this fella talks too much. They say he's another Mohammed Ali. There's just one Mohammed Ali. Now, Clough, I've had enough. Stop it.

Peter Taylor: Are you gonna stop it?

Brian Clough: No, I'm going to fight him.
