This is almost a masterpiece that has been completely overlooked. If there is no Fasha as the producer and starring, it is estimated that it would have been completely forgotten. However, blessed are you female audiences who are coming towards Fasha. Although Fasha didn't show his muscles during the whole process, he still shook his proud utensils a few times across the long trousers, leaving the female audience with awe. Ah, Fasha, you are great, please slow down!

Regardless of gimmicks, in the past 2015, "Western Slow Tune" still has its own brilliance against the background of Western movies such as "Wild Hunter" and "The Hateful Eight". Especially the tragic ending can even occupy a place in the large inventory of various reversal endings. The ending of "Western Slow Tune" is confusing and regrettable. It makes people sigh. It makes people feel the powerlessness of love and the impermanence of fate. People shout What the fuck and applaud this setting at the same time. Only in this way can they have The sublimated art, otherwise only the landscape will remain.

First of all, this is a film about love, and secondly, it is about human nature and tells why people should live. Regarding love, I spoke from the perspective of the 16-year-old male protagonist Jay. Regarding human nature, Jay unconsciously exudes in the process of chasing love and then infects the qualities of the western prodigal Silas played by Fa Shark.

Jay is not an American, nor is he going to the Wild West to pan for gold. This is not an ordinary Western movie either. Unlike the protagonists in other westerns, Jay is not American at all, or even American. He is from Scotland and came to the United States for a long distance. Then he went to the west, not to pioneer, not to be a hero, but to Pursue love. His lover is hidden in a certain place in the western United States, and the young man is here to find her. So persistent guy, so touching love!

If it's just for love, after all the hardships, Jay found her in his heart, and then lived a happy life together. So, this will be a small fresh literary romance film with amorous feelings. But it is not!

Jay was a traditional British nobleman who lived an easy life in Britain and fell in love with a girl, Ross, who was the daughter of a commoner. Confined to the door, Jay's family obviously disagrees with their union. When Jay's uncle angrily pulled him out of Ross's bed, the conflict between the two sides broke out. During the push, Jay's uncle was pushed down and knocked on a rock, unfortunately died. In order to avoid the lawsuit, Ross and her father embarked on the road of exile, from Scotland to the United States and then hiding in the west. I don’t know if they committed another crime in the United States. Anyway, they have become wanted criminals. Each person’s head is worth 1,000 yuan. In that era, this was a big number. You know, escorting Jay from the middle to the west, the hard-earned commission is only 200 yuan.

And our great magic shark, playing the role of Jay's bodyguard escort, is named Silas in the film. As a prodigal son, he had nothing to do. He watched Jay's hard work and could face death at any time, and then moved with compassion and agreed to be his escort. After that, the two of them went on the road. On the way, they murdered together, got caught in the rain together, broke up and got back together. During this time, Silas found Ross' wanted warrant and understood the purpose of Jay's trip. Two wanted criminals, a total of 2,000 oceans, Silas has not been tempted. Moreover, to find Ross, following Jay happens to be the most correct way. Because, bounty hunters have already done this, and there is more than one, a group of people who kill people without blinking. They stared at Jay and stepped closer to their bounty goal.

In the end, Jay and Silas finally found Ross and her father, as well as a large number of bounty hunters. A decisive battle is inevitable. And Silas, who had originally planned to take advantage of the fire, was already moved by Jay. From Jay, he understood the true meaning of life.

"For life, just being alive is not enough", this is the truth that Silas has learned. To live, one should pursue something. Jay pursues love, and Silas pursues value. As a result, Silas no longer wants to protect Jay and protect his love with him for the sake of bounty.

However, destiny is always a joke. The woman Jay is pursuing hard, he is crazy in love with Ross, and travels across the ocean to see her, but Ross doesn't love him! Yes, Ross doesn't really love Jay. When the bounty hunter killed Ross's father and launched a siege on Ross, she concentrated on resisting, killing anyone who dared to break into her house. And Jay broke in desperately for love and to protect Ross, but the Ross he wanted to protect gave him a fatal shot without looking at him. Jay fell in a pool of blood, looking at the person he loved by his side, but didn't look at himself. And he still looked at her lovingly, wanted to talk to her, wanted to touch her.

However, Ross was only shooting, trying to kill anyone who dared to approach her. Moreover, what is even more uninteresting for Jay is that at this moment, there is another person beside Ross who loves her, that is a young Indian guy. In front of the dying Jay, they also kissed, and then the Indian guy got up and gave his life to save her. It wasn't until the danger diminished that Ross finally looked back and found Jay. She just looked at him speechlessly, then leaned over, without even sending a hug, but finally took advantage of Jay, using Jay's power to fire a fatal shot at the last enemy. For Ross, Jay is just a silly kid, someone she doesn't really love.

A ridiculous love legend is like this. Jay spent so long searching for it, but it was nothing. When the gun battle was fierce, Silas, Jay's protector, lost his weapon early and quickly lost his resistance. He was shot twice in his leg and fell on the ground. Seeing everything in front of him, you come and go. One life was lost, and then the next, one after another, died for such a small amount of money. Only poor Jay is for love, for an unrequited love that does not exist at all. This ridiculous tragedy really makes people speechless. Neither Jay nor Silas are heroes in traditional Western films. Their existence is to show their insignificance and powerlessness in the face of fate.

"Western Slow Tune" is only 80 minutes long. As an authentic western film, it is always full of irony to western films. It strives to go beyond the framework of western films and tell more interesting things. In fact, aside from this relatively new story, the deeper things that the producer wants are not even successful. What's lost is that the irony is not deep enough, and it is far from "Unforgivable". The revelation of the depth of fate also seemed too superficial and could not sublime the subject, not to mention a self-denial afterwards. This also makes it not able to go too far. However, as a Western movie, it is still very good to enjoy, and the performance of Fasha is even more unclear.

For friends who like "Game of Thrones", the dead hound actually played Ross's father in the film, which is a small easter egg and surprise.

Slow West quotes

  • Jay Cavendish: [gazing up at the sky] Same stars, same moon... One day we'll be wanderin' 'round that moon. They'll build a railroad. A railroad up and down the ways. A railroad to the moon. And when we get there... the first thing we'll do... is hunt the natives down.

Silas Selleck: No Indians on the moon.

Jay Cavendish: No, the natives of the moon. The moon people.

  • Shop Keeper: [offering a bottle] Whiskey?

Silas Selleck: [no] Got any meat?

Shop Keeper: I got condemned bacon. Traded it for bullets. Both'll kill you pretty quick.
