Regarding these film reviews, I just want to say a few points:
1. This movie is really not a big production, it belongs to the kind of small investment expecting big returns, and the routines also belong to the United States in general. The horror film's routines, so there are certain flaws and even rough elements, it is understandable. However, this film has a compact plot and a certain amount of effort to create an atmosphere. It is considered to be the best in this type of film;
many people say that this film is old and rough, so it is called a junk film. First of all, this film Not an original film, but a remake of the film. The 1986 "Phantom Terminator" remakes a 80s horror movie that has a modern feel without losing the original excitement. I think it is very good. Even if the story is old-fashioned, the film itself handles the atmosphere very well, and it is still very good for entertainment. To sum up, there are several types of people watching movies. 1. What you don’t watch is stories, but focus on shooting techniques and so on. I think these are probably the geniuses of the film school. 2. I’ve seen a lot of horror than this. People who have a lot of bloody films, especially for the pursuit of excitement and watch 3. Ordinary audiences. For pastime, for entertainment. The first two kinds of people are definitely going to spray this film and ignore it. I think people in the third category should have the same mentality as me, watching the film for entertainment and enjoyment, but the good thing about this film is that the film has a wonderful understanding of people. Most people are at the stage of understanding the story itself. Since the story itself is a horror concept in the 1980s, it has long been outdated by now, so everyone sprays it. We ignore the geniuses who even have the story content in vain and focus on researching shooting techniques. If you see here, if it's the above-mentioned friends, you don't need to read it down, because it is not recommended for you.
I personally feel that this film is very good. I want to share my understanding with friends who know; the role of John Ryder is like a mental patient. I think he is a bit like joker. He has no principles. He also likes to think of life as a game, but he is different from joker. Joker's game is a game with Batman. And John Ryder's game is like a nurturing game. He first created fear for the hero and the protagonist. The first half of the movie is almost always describing this, but they still have hope, until the police are killed and the feeling of despair makes the heroine have no retreat. The death of the heroine turns the heroine’s fear into anger, at the end of the film. I think the heroine has changed. John Ryder said; it feels good. The hostess said; there is no feeling. Then he shot him. Although the story ends here, I think the attitude of the heroine has changed, from a mouse to a cat. My understanding is that John Ryder used his death to make a new murderer. When I saw this ending, I thought of Silent Lamb 2. At the end, Hannibal feeds the little boy and eats human brains. I suddenly feel John Ryder. The ultimate winner, he turned the heroine into a psychopath.
There is only one protagonist in the original version, and the male protagonist Jim of the 07 version has become a supporting role. I think compared to the original version, the death of the male protagonist of the 07 version makes the heroine's final change in revenge appear more grounded. In general, for this Different people will have different feelings when watching this movie. Although placed in modern times, the story is slightly old-fashioned. But this movie is still worth watching.
