Everyone is human

Originally I wanted to give four points. The last star was given to those amiable and respectable deformed people, because they were all real people shooting, and I thought it was not easy for them.

I have never had a good impression of circuses, because many times I watched movies, TV and animation, and they said that life in the circus is hard, and in order to make money, they are all in exchange for fate. Everyone is fighting for fame and money, and there are often small groups, which feels bad.

The freaks in the movie include dwarfs, limbs, lower body, hands, conjoined people, etc. Some people feel strange in appearance, and some feel terrifying.

The film is only one hour, and the plot is very tight. Although it is black and white, the actors perform very well.

In the same circus, there are two major categories of normal people and abnormal people. Normal people usually laugh at and bully abnormal people. The abnormal people are relatively more united and help each other. From the end, everyone is united. It can be seen by crippling that bad woman. Seeing that she finally turned into a broken leg and hand, unable to speak, I really felt relieved.

Everyone is human, and it is not what they want to have defects at birth. Why do you laugh at colleagues and friends who get along with you? Probably this is human.

  • Hercules: [telling Venus off, as she walks out the door of his trailer] Ungrateful little tramp!

  • Venus: [she has just been kicked out of Hercules' trailer; she is very upset; yells at Phroso, who is just standing there minding his own business] Well, what are you staring at? Didn't you ever see a lady move before? I guess you've been listening to every word he said.

Venus: [Phroso still hasn't said a word; she has a loud tone of voice] That's it. That's it! Go ahead and laugh. It's funny, ain't it?

Venus: [Phroso still hasn't said a word; her voice is sarcastic] Yeah. Women are funny, ain't they? They're all tramps, ain't they?

Venus: Ye-e-eah. Except when you can get MONEY from them!

[she storms off, goes into the trailer next door]

Phroso: [finally gets mad at Venus for dumping on him; he rushes over to her trailer.] Well, I'll be! Say, who do you think you are, shooting off your head? Hey, this is Phroso -- Phroso you're talking to! Not any of those thugs you've been chasing around with.

Venus: [apologizing, soft tone of voice] Oh, I didn't mean you. I had to take it out on somebody.
