There are only dreams and good girls can not live up to

The young Joseph lives in a terrible world, and hereditary titles are written in black and white on his forehead. The difference between people can actually be summarized as the amount of steel in your pocket, whether you wear a linen shirt or a velvet dress. At that time, people had the stereotype that the landlord’s son was the landlord, and the farmer’s son was just a young farmer.
What's worse is that he is the son of a farmhand.
This means you have to work to death for land that does not belong to you.
His father said to him before his death, "You have all kinds of strange thoughts in your head. I was like you when you were so young. But in this poor corner, dreams will only become a bubble in the end."
The meaning of this sentence is: compromise, and then everything will become less difficult to accept.

Before Mr. Christie, the landlord who exploited farmhands, appeared, I thought he would be a nasty villain. But he is actually kind and cute. On his first appearance, he sneaked into the tavern to drink, wearing an exaggerated red suit. After drinking, he staggered home with the horse, talking to himself and humming along the way. He said to Joseph, "I can fully understand why you came to murder me, and I don't blame you."
He said, "My life is like a calm fog. My land is inherited. The misty logic fends and perishes..."
Mr. Christie is undoubtedly a kind person, but the identity of the landlord has been attached to him like a skin since he was born. He inherited the habit of his ancestors and waited for the money to fly into his wallet in the mansion comfortably. As a result, he lacks the will to fight and the goal of fighting. Perhaps he had ambitions when he was young, but now, everything is as peaceful as stagnant water.
The burning of the house opened a gap in his dead life, and fresh vitality leaked in.
Before the end, he said to his wife, "Pretend that we are not going to die, but are just beginning to live."

So what is the origin of the tragedy in our lives?
Indeed, some people are born impoverished, some will fall into an insatiable love, some will even be struck to death by lightning as soon as they leave the house. While some people are living a humble life because of poverty, others are in the glorious bedroom, leaning against the setting sun and weeping.
Life is hard and heavy for everyone. We have reasons to feel pain all the time, but we should not become obedient and indifferent. The opportunity for change is always deeply buried in our hearts.

Shannon Christie is my favorite kind of girl, innocent, impulsive and dreamy, dare to be bold and beautiful. She is not like her father, she knows what she really wants. "I'm a modernist!" If you want to see the handsome man's body, he uncovered the only cover on his body; if you want to go to the United States, then go, drive first, then take a boat, and you will be able to get there one day.
But she saw a country completely unfamiliar. It is sordid and sophisticated, with hidden traps of lies everywhere. She changed everything from what she needed to nothing. The rental houses she lived in were all cramped and cramped, perhaps with a damp, musty smell.
However, day by day, she never mentioned going back to Ireland. Instead, she became a female plucking worker, accumulating a meager income, planning to go to Oklahoma to compete for the land of her dreams.
She never seems to know what compromise is.
That's why she took him away in the mist, even if she couldn't see the road ahead.

Before Joseph set out to assassinate the landlord, he drove his little mule through the crowd with a packaged shotgun hanging from the mule. "Moonlight Knight," everyone beckoned at him noisily, slapped the mule's butt, as if he was not going to take revenge, but to attend a circus show.
Later in the United States, after Joseph lost its use value, he was dumped like a dog by his original employer.

Therefore, interspersed between poverty and hard life, the love in the movie is so beautiful, like moonlight passing through a gauze tent, like they peeping at each other's bodies through a curtain. For so long, they lived in the same room, but nothing happened, and the occasional teasing and lust were suppressed. Without lustful obstruction, love becomes very free, very fragmented, elusive like waves, but grows overwhelmingly.

On the night that was doomed to parting, he took the frail Shannon to trek through the ice and snow, and their bones were frozen by the wind of Christmas. They found an empty house to escape the wind and snow, but the owner who came back found that Shannon was shot and Joseph sent her back to his parents. "Now you are safe." After going
out, he suddenly ran so fast and fast, as if to pass the time quickly, leaving all worldly norms behind him.

They kissed each other for the first time on the night that was doomed to parting.
Flying snow outside the window.

The normal state of life is that it is difficult for someone to understand you, and most people laugh at you, even if they are not better than you. The cruel world is in front of you, even if the slightest mercy is stingy, only a narrow gap is left for you to pass through.
And dreams gleamed on the other end.
How long does it take to get to it? There is no answer in Joseph's heart. Maybe he will get stuck in the middle of the road and never get to Oklamar.
So let go. As long as she has a safe journey, the bridges will be strong and the tunnels will be bright.

The English name of the movie, far and away, is obviously much more beautiful than the Chinese translation of Earth Ambition. It reminds me of Haizi’s poems: You come from a far away, I go to a distant place/The long distance passes through here/The sky has nothing/why give it I comfort.
I can imagine that Joseph in his heart, over and over again, outlines the outline of his own but unreachable future: "There must be a stream on my land, maybe there are trees, fertile black soil, and there is no Stone."
However, this stupid young man suddenly hesitated when he was about to get the land he dreamed of.
He said: "Without you, all the lands in the world are meaningless to me."
Life is not just about being overwhelmed. Even if we have nothing but life, we still have to be like fools with passion in our chests. Burning, rushing towards the distant dream.
Then we hold happiness in our own hands and give it to our loved ones.
Because in this world, only dreams and good girls can't live up to.
