the company men

Very good-looking movie, very realistic.
Under the financial crisis, the company is in a difficult situation, coupled with the high-level leaders' desire for profit, the people below will naturally become the victims of the crisis. The day before, there were still brilliant gold-collars, luxury cars, mansions, and golf; but today, everything turned into clouds, and there was no time to react.
In a company, we must raise our awareness of crisis. This is especially true when you are in society.

Phil in the film is a tragic character. At the age of nearly 60, he thought he had a close relationship with the senior management and was a veteran of the company. His own safety should be guaranteed. The result is still a victim of GTX. Unemployed at the age of 60, what I face are: a seriously ill old wife, tuition fees for children, heavy family expenses, and unwillingness to share. In the end he chose to die. He struggled and searched for jobs, but bumped into walls. His old boss Gene told Bob about Phil when he was young. He was also a very motivated person, but at 60 years old, he was already unable to do so. He is also one of the thousands of victims.
It will inevitably remind people of what kind of situation I would face if I reached the age of 60.
I really appreciate the role of Gene, no matter how cruel the reality is and how attractive the material conditions are, he can always maintain the glorious side of human nature.

As for the actor Bob, hey, I don't think he is miserable at all, because he has a good wife.
It would be great if I had such a good wife, it would be worth it to be miserable, haha.

Then write down two lines:
1. If my life ended, and nobody noticed. This is what Phil said when he was most desperate.
2. i will win, because i have faith, courage, and enthusiasm.

Finally, back to the American-style family concept and the western spirit created by hand, cliché, wasteful uncle

The Company Men quotes

  • Jack: How go the suit wars, Bobby?

    Bobby Walker: All right, Jack.

Jack: Move any more high-paying American jobs offshore to Asian shitholes this week?

Bobby Walker: Mostly focused on union busting now; you know how it is.

  • Bobby Walker: [on phone] Hi, Sally. Bob Walker. Uh, thanks for not returning any of my phone calls. If you do return my call, I would love to know why you fired me without any notice, you fucking, cowardly bitch.

Danny: Gee, I wonder why she never calls you back.

Bobby Walker: Feels good though. God.
