This should be regarded as Julie's early masterpiece, also known as "Gia", which is about the short life of supermodel Gia Karanzhi in the 1970s. Her prosperous career is accompanied by her same-sex love, but it ends under the temptation of drugs. Gia is one of thousands of tragic figures defeated by drugs. Between love and drugs, she chose the latter, destined to go the way to the abyss. What's more cruel is that when Gia finally decided to quit the drug and it was effective, the diagnosis of AIDS destroyed all hope, and the end of the film was heartbreaking. Julie's performance in this movie is very good, probably because she had a drug abuse experience in her early years, so she feels more empathetic, saying that she was much plumper at that time than she is now.
