This is naturally a well-known disaster film in the history of American cinema. The cast is led by Paul Newman, which can also be described as a collection of stars. As an old film more than 30 years ago, it is not clear what the special effect of the fire scene is. However, judging from the posters and stills, it seems quite bold. Of course, I have to say it again. In that era when special effects were not the main focus, large-scale disaster and action movies seemed to focus more on script writing and actors’ characterization of characters, and the director’s shooting methods were not similar. Nowadays, the younger generations are eager for quick success and quick profit, which is flashy and unrealistic. When we have become accustomed to the visual bombardment of Hollywood blockbusters, the solid style of old movies seems to be commendable. Even if the rhythm may be slow and the special effects may be unsatisfactory, it is all time to hide. Just like the comparison between the new and the old version of Poseidon, the feelings of most moviegoers prove that technology and consciousness are more important.
At this point, I can't help but think of one thing, why doesn't Hollywood have a plan to remake this classic disaster film? Of course, that's just a question. It's okay if you don't remake it, otherwise, you should probably end up like the new Poseidon. The former was boarded at the box office and killed, while the latter would not escape the collapse of the house. This is a family statement, don't take it seriously!
