watch the whole movie. My favorite is the section about "He dies"
Hoffman said by himself:
When King Lear dies in Act 5, do you know what Shakespeare has written?
He's written "he dies."
That's all. Nothing more. No fanfare, no metaphor, no brilliant final words.
The culmination fo the most influential work of dramatic literature is "He dies."
It takes Shakespeare, a genius to comeup with, "He dies."
And yet, every timeI read those two words,I find myself overwhelmed with dysphoria.
I know it's only nature to be sad. But not
because of the word,"He dies." But because of the life we saw prior to the words.
I've lived all 5 of my act..... and I'm not asking you to be happy that I must go.
I'm asking you turn the page, continue reading, and let the next story begin.
And if anyone ever asks what become of me, you relate my life in all its wonder, and end it with a simple and modestHe died."
" because of the life we saw prior to the words." is my favorite sentence. When I heard this sentence, many pictures appeared in my mind in an instant, those movies, novels, TVB, and my own life that I used to hang around , All flashed one by one.
Indeed, what I sigh, sentimental, and sentimental, is not a specific scene, but everything I have experienced before, everything I have seen, everything I have walked together.
I always complain about something The ending of the drama is not perfect, because I have seen the beauty and hardships experienced before, so I want a happy ending.
I always miss the past that has disappeared, because the beauty and darkness constitute the most important thing in life at that time Time. I
just want to say a little bit. But I can’t even say a little bit. So be it.
