When I first saw this film as a general sports inspirational film (I like this theme very much, I almost watched this kind of movie), but after watching it, I found that this is not very inspirational, more like a Negative textbook, because it actually describes a period of the lowest point in Clough's coaching career, ha ha.

The film is actually pretty good-looking, the time goes back and forth constantly, before and after comparison, this technique is not new, but it's not bad, and the story is relatively complete. The plot is a bit like a roller coaster, failure-success-failure-success, the last friendship is very touched, plus the story of football made and described in the UK (my favorite), you can give a 4 points, but I studied the cloth After Ryan Clough’s legendary experience, in order to cherish the memory of this great coach, I think 5 points are okay.

Here is a brief introduction to this great coach.
Most people may have heard of Ferguson, but in various English football coaching rankings, Clough surpassed Ferguson to be ranked first. Why?

Kraff was born in Middlesbrough on March 21, 1935. He played for Middlesbrough and Sunderland as a player. In the 274 league games he participated in, he scored a total of 251 goals.

When he was less than 30 years old, Clough chose to retire and began his own coaching career.

In 1967, he began to take charge of Derby County. In 1969, he brought Derby to the First Division. In 1972, he led his team to the First Division championship and Get tickets to the Champions League, and in the Champions Cup the following year, he led the team to the semi-finals in one fell swoop.

But the most important thing is his coaching at Nottingham Forest. The coaching
began on January 6, 1975. He was
promoted to the first division in 1977-1978 with the team and won the Champions League in the
1978-1979 season. He won the Champions League and the League Cup. Champion, League runner-up,
defending the Champions League in the 1979-1980 season, Super Cup champion, League Cup runner-up, Toyota Cup runner-up
...

In British football, no one will forget the saying: "I won't say I am this The best head coach in the line, but I am definitely one of the top."

The Damned United quotes

  • Michael Parkinson: How do you react when someone says, "Boss, you're doing it wrong?"

Brian Clough: Well, I ask him how *he* thinks it ought to be done. And then we get down to it, and we talk about it for twenty minutes, and then we decide that I was right.

  • Muhammed Ali: [Clough, Taylor & their families watch Muhammed Ali on television] Some fella in London, England named, some Brian... Brian Clough. I heard all the way in America that this fella talks too much. They say he's another Mohammed Ali. There's just one Mohammed Ali. Now, Clough, I've had enough. Stop it.

Peter Taylor: Are you gonna stop it?

Brian Clough: No, I'm going to fight him.
