The price of freedom

The text on various monuments in the United States reminds people all the time that those who gave their lives for freedom.
And after seeing the glorious American society, how many people can appreciate the price they paid for freedom?
After driving out the British, they tried their best to restrict their government so that it could not violate the rights of the people. In the early days of the founding of the United States, the federal government was in a mess. A criminal who fled to another state would have nothing to do with him-but the Americans endured this. This was the price they were willing to pay after being violated by the British government. Finally, they had to strengthen the rights of the Federation, but they enacted countless laws to restrict the Federation. In order to ensure that ordinary people would not be easily convicted by the Federation, they established strict procedures and presumptions of innocence. At the same time, they must also endure a lot of Of criminals become slippery fish.
When I was young, I watched an American series about a judge who decided to settle a case during the day and become a night killer at night to punish criminals who escaped the law. Lenovo’s Batman and this movie show that Americans are in conflict. They don’t want the government to be too strong and do whatever they want to infringe the rights of the people. They also worry that criminals will slip through the Internet and affect the public order of the people’s society.

It’s so easy to get guns and privacy in the United States, so that raising illegal immigrants as female slaves in one's own villa will be difficult to detect, so that extreme small religious groups will be banned after killing people— -The FBI was aggrieved: It was a private villa. Not to mention the search. Before we can get evidence, it is extremely difficult to apply for a wiretapping approval. How do we handle the case? Those religious groups are protected by the Freedom of Religion Law. We have no right to interfere with their freedom of belief and freedom of assembly before they kill people. How can we stop them?

Regarding the Simpson case, the answer from most Americans is very telling:
"Do you think Simpson killed his wife?"
"Yes"
"But Simpson was criminally acquitted. Do you think Simpson received a fair trial? ?"
"Yes"
——They agree with this system. Even if a person kills in the hall, he is only a suspect. If there is insufficient evidence later, he will be released. This is the price they must bear.

Of course, the road in the United States is not the only one. The European-style approach of big government and small people can work well under good press freedom and supervision.

This is also reflected in Bush’s speech after 9/11. He did not say "Our country is under attack", but said "Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts..." They just choose a path that they think is the right one and stick to it and pay for it.
God bless United States of America!
