Is it popular these days to learn martial arts from a master?

I always feel that these days I have always seen such a stage in the movie, where the weaker people worship the master to learn martial arts. I don't know if it was caused by Kung Fu Panda, the king of Kung Fu. . .
Isn't there a funny movie trailer of "Superman" in Onion News?
Of course, the environment of the movie is different. This time it is the background of the prison, and learning martial arts is more for "self-defense."
I like the silly and cute looks of the criminals in the movie. After all, we still hope that human nature is inherently good. So seeing those guys after being transformed by Big Stan makes me feel more comfortable.
The so-called prison should achieve such a reform through labor effect, which is the goal of an ideal prison.
