William and Henry

I watched the Ironclad movie last night. Let's talk about the Norman Dynasty and the Anjou Dynasty in Britain.

It is said that after the death of William I, he passed the throne to his second son William II. The eldest son Robert only got the family's continental territory, Normandy.

After the death of William II, his third brother Henry I succeeded to the throne. Robert tried to seize the throne, but he was defeated and imprisoned. So far, the clue is clear.

After Henry I's death, his nephew Stephen won the throne with the help of his brother Henry of Blois.

Henry I's daughter Matilda was originally married to the German emperor Henry V, and later remarried the son of the Anjou family. At this time, with the support of Henry I's illegitimate son named Robert, he returned to China to fight for the seat.

Henry of Blois reversed and Matilda entered London, but was defeated by Stephen's queen Matilda of Boulogne and returned to Anjou.

After Matilda's son Henry inherited the territory of Anjou, he invaded the United Kingdom, forcing Stephen to make Henry the heir to the throne. Stephen's son William could only inherit his original territory.

After Henry succeeded to the throne, he became Henry II and opened the Anjou dynasty.

Henry II favored his youngest son John because his eldest son Henry died early, so his second son Richard initiated the Xuanwu Gate Transformation to win the throne and became Richard I, the "Lion Heart King".

Richard I died in the fight against the rebellion, he had no heir, and John succeeded him. The nobles rebelled and John was forced to sign Magna Carta.

The story of the film begins here. But this is not over yet. John continued to fight with the nobles and died on the way to the defeated army. His son Henry succeeded him, namely Henry III.

This story tells us that it is safer to call you William or Henry instead of being unconventional. And if the woman's name is Matilda, it's no way to meet another Matilda, at least for a while.
