opening, they shave their hair. Straight hair, curly hair, long hair, short hair, blond hair, brunette hair, black hair, these distinctive signs are all removed, scattered on the ground, and collected and discarded like garbage. They are like newborn babies with bare heads and little difference. In this Bled Corp, they accept unscrupulous insults and reprimands from the instructors, "You are now a pile of useless stinky shit!". Joker, Cowboy, Snowball, Pyle... Code names have replaced names. Their real names are irrelevant. This is how they became a Marine Corps fighter.
After the hard training on the island, the fat Pyle became the target of public criticism. The instructor told him that your mistakes were responsible for your entire team, so the entire team held a grudge against him. One night, they attacked him collectively. The towel-wrapped soap might not make him suffer too much, but he howled, cried, and was heartbroken. After that, Pyle changed. He who used to smile at the corners of his mouth unconsciously disappeared. When he was praised by the instructor for his excellent shooting, the flashing eyes were not joy or pride or self-esteem, but a flame of cruelty and hatred. Finally, in the end, he shot and killed the instructor he hated and committed suicide. He personally ended his life and hatred with his beloved rifle. In this scene, when the cold and bleak blue tone is finally crushed by the dazzling blood red, the cruelty of the war is chilling, but the cruel war is already rooted in the fate of every soldier wearing a helmet and holding a rifle. The battle is theirs. In the future, they will embark on the road of no return, and killing is their future life mission.
The Vietnam War is a pain in the hearts of many Americans. Joker's role in this war is a war correspondent. He doesn't agree with his job. He wants to enter the real battlefield instead of fabricating virtual war scenarios in a safe area. Finally, after successfully annoying his boss, he got his wish. On the battlefield plane, he witnessed the shooters killing innocent people indiscriminately; in the squad operation, he witnessed the deaths of his teammates and friends; in the final revenge against the Vietnamese sniper, when he saw the girl full of hatred When he heard her prayers before death, he finally understood that the war was meaningless, meaningless, and meaningless... After
watching this film, he was once again convinced by the extraordinary ability of director Kubrick. He put nearly 120 Minutes became totally disgusting. This war is disgusting. I remember there were some words in the film:
"Fight for the freedom of the Vietnamese people? This is simply a slaughter."
"The Vietnamese do not want to be involved in the war. They take our freedom to the Vietnamese, but they don't want freedom. They think that life is better than freedom."
"We fought and died for the Vietnamese people, but they have no gratitude. They think this is a big joke."
...
This group of soldiers, they are not machines, but they are murderers. The people they are trying to save hate them because their so-called "salvation" is a blatant aggression in the eyes of the people, and their freedom is not the freedom of the Vietnamese people. American children should not cross thousands of miles to interfere in the affairs of Asian children. This is a wise saying. Wars that use justice as their clothing are sometimes just evil itself, but they are self-righteous and blindly expand.
FULL METAL JACKET, a very good name, is a true portrayal of America. He is fully armed and his heart is like a rock; his helmet reads BORN TO KILL, and his chest wears a peace badge. Joker said that this may be the so-called contradiction of dual personality. Some people may say that this is outright hypocrisy. He himself said that this is the use of violence in exchange for peace, and this is the use of violence to win freedom. But in this protracted war, people were caught in this huge black vortex, and no one was spared.
Some people are killing and some people are being killed. This is war, and cannibalism within a race has nothing to do with noble words such as freedom and peace. No war can bring freedom to even one person and peace to even one square meter. The rhetoric of politicians is not as good as shit.
At the end of the film, this absurd war continues. Animal Mother once said that we want to win, but the joyous but sad Mickey Mouse song floating in the night sky of the battlefield has already heralded that this is destined to be a war without a winner. Just like those wars in history are exactly the same.
