The film "Those Who Wish Me Dead" is adapted from the novel of the same name by Michael Koryta. Directed by Taylor Sheridan ("Sicario", "Hell or High Water"), he skillfully weaves a sophisticated, thrilling, and disaster-like film in the 70s in multiple timelines and storylines. The story takes place in the vast forests of Montana, USA: distant mountains, green forests, and streams. . There are also stars in the sky. . . The western world has a panoramic view, magnificent magnificence, warm and soft colors and the scene of the final battle raging fire. Angelina Jolie is very well maintained, so beautiful, so beautiful, so beautiful! ! !
The heroine Hannah Faber (Angelina Jolie), the forest fire fighter is a brave and straightforward woman, she is even more brave than the other male team members. . . In a previous fire accident, several children died due to her mistakes. Angelina was demoted to take care of a watchtower in the forest. She herself was often mentally troubled by the accident (well, it is now called PTSD). On the other hand, Owen (Jake Weber), a young accountant, found himself involved in a political black gold conspiracy, so he took his baby son Connor (Finn Little) to escape hunting and seek refuge with his brother-in-law Ethan, who is far away in Montana.
Two big villains (big guy yeah - Aidan Gillen "Game of Thrones", Nicholas Hoult "Mad Max: Fury Road")-ruthless, the culprit of the forest fires-discover Owen's plan and hunt down the father and son along the way Going to the mountains and forests of Montana, Dad died in the forest to protect the child Connor. The child Connor met Hannah in such panic and helplessness. Connor is about the same age as the kid who died in Hannah's previous accident, so for Hannah, Connor is no different than a self-salvation. . . . .
It is interesting that Angelina Jolie's appearance between serious dramas and action movies. Her acting attracts the widest of audiences, and dominates the industry cross-genres in a way few actresses have pulled off (Sigourney Weaver comes to mind as a possible equivalent). Jolie's star power is a force of nature, one she is able to use to great effect. One of them is "By the Sea", the film she wrote and directed, a throwback to the glamorous disaffected European dramas of the 1960s and 1970s, directed by people like Michelangelo Antonioni, or Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt," a clear precursor for "By the Sea."
Jolie can be a divisive figure, as most individualists are, and therefore it's always interesting to see the projects she lends her talents to. It's been some years since Jolie did an action movie, and she carries the center of "Those Who Wish Me Dead ." Unfortunately, it's a film with no real center.
Reasonable complaints:
1. The two handsome villains really look good. . . . More than 50% of the action scenes were contracted, and the movements were crisp, smooth and flowing, and the soundtrack complemented each other. . . But why fight with my brother-in-law and her big belly. . . Angelina Jolie and the children are walking in the forest and admiring the sky full of stars. . . . I'm really out of play
2. The original work is a famous YA (Young Adult) novel in Europe and America, with lots of details. . . In reality, there are lightning rods in the observation tower in the forest. Don't Angelina Jolie jump off the tower. . .
3. And why it's okay for Big Pi to fight the two big villains. . . . Also galloped on horseback. . . . Also seriously injured one of them. . . Uh. . .
Brother Holt really fell short of a few axes without hitting him. . . I am speechless
4. What is the reason for the villain's arson? Ask for answers
