This movie is very good to watch, at least far better than "Kung Fu Dunk" and "Yangtze River No. 7" which are currently in domestic hits.
Of course there are a lot of unorganized and vulgar parts, but that was originally part of this kind of spoof comedy.
Spoofing is not vulgar, but spoofing is very easy to become vulgar, because creative spoofing is a hard job.
The basic structure of "Angry Ping Pong" is to combine Bruce Lee's "Dragon Fight and Tiger" and 007's "Golden Finger" into a comedy. His parody of "Dragon Fighting Tiger Fighting" is quite realistic.
But these are not considered creative. What really makes me find it interesting is that this movie introduces Chinese-style humor.
Of course, a movie about table tennis is inseparable from the Chinese. Except for the actor, the teacher, girlfriend, and opponent in this movie are all Chinese.
However, what is more Chinese is that the humor in the details is completely Chinese-style nonsensical.
For example, when the protagonist went to the "Dragon" in Chinatown to try table tennis, he walked into the table tennis hall. Two passersby were playing a ball, each drew a cigarette, and put an ashtray on the table. The two played the ash in the ashtray while pushing the ball.
Obviously it was a funny point, but there was no close-up, and even the people around didn't care, and he gave it lightly, as if to say, "What's the matter, it's like this for everyone."
This kind of light humor is still present in the movies. However, this is the typical Zhou Xingchi-style nonsensical. This is the first time I watched Americans play this style of comedy.
In addition, the music is good for this kind of skit-style movie.
Maggie's styling, whether in tight sportswear or in period costumes, makes people feel that her figure is a little too thin. Just like her role.
Advantages: Humorous
Disadvantages: The usual disadvantages of spoof comedy
