The remake is more successful, but the lack of a star is a bit overly sensational

I watched the Korean version of "The Gift of Room No. 7" two days ago, and today I finished watching the new version of "The Gift of Room No. 7", and I feel that the remake is good overall. The storylines of the two editions are similar, but the new edition adds highlights such as religion, a happy ending, and grandma of the male protagonist, making the storyline more full.

Because most of the highlights of the remake have been introduced in other film reviews, here are just a few things that I find interesting:

1. a deserter

In my opinion, this deserter was cowardly at first, as can be seen from his fleeing from the army and not waiting for Aova in the castle. When he was later captured back to the army, he actually told the whole truth to the lieutenant colonel... He was very kind, but he was too simple, and the ending was executed cold-blooded by the lieutenant colonel.

2. Captain

There is a very interesting detail. At first, the warden called the captain's real name. The captain was very angry and said that he could not call him that way, but should call him by military rank. Seeing this, I originally thought that the captain and lieutenant colonel were both superior and not to be offended by others. But later, the captain helped find eyewitnesses, and later implemented the plan of "Stealing Dragon and Turning Phoenix" with the warden. At this time, the warden directly called his real name, and he would not have the initial reaction. He is a good officer, but he has no choice but to have a cold-blooded boss.

3. Lieutenant Colonel

People like the lieutenant colonel are actually quite terrifying. There is darkness in their hearts and they are highly powerful. They can use many methods to release the darkness in their hearts. The ending did not explain the fate of the lieutenant colonel, but I believe the lieutenant colonel should go to a military court. In the end, darkness cannot blind the truth and defeat justice.

In addition, there are a few excessively sensational places in the film, which is why I lost one star. In several scenes where Aova and her father ciphered, the slow playback method was used, and a particularly sentimental, tear-jerking soundtrack was used, which personally felt a bit overly sensational.

Generally speaking, it is still a very good and touching remake of the movie.
