The black humor is full, the filming technique is unique, and the director, as always, has a good grasp of the bold suspense plot. The rhythm of the whole film is tight, and the protagonist is like a fly struggling on a spider web, allowing the audience to smell from him the black humor of director Alfred Hitchcock mocking fate. Several of the shots in the film have bold designs, reflecting Hitchcock's old and strong vigor, and Barry Foster, who plays the murderer, and Jon Finch, who plays the innocent, both have wonderful performances in the film.
