Why do you look so happy? (+Second episode)

background:

"Dracula" is a gothic horror novel based on vampires published in 1897 by Irish writer Bram Stoker.

Different from the ugly and non-intelligent animal images of vampires in ancient myths and legends in the past, this novel portrays vampires as gentlemen who are gentle, intelligent, attractive to the opposite sex and able to control the victim's thoughts.

This book has been adapted several times:

The first was a silent film "Vampire" (1922). The director FW-Munau was later ordered by a judge to destroy all copies because he lost the copyright lawsuit. But the existence of piracy still allows this film to circulate.

The first officially authorized film adaptation was "Dracula" in 1931, which was then adapted from the stage play of the same name. The lines in the movie that were distorted by Dracula’s accent, "I vant to suck your blood." later became a famous line. This film caused a horror movie fever, and there are sequels "Dracula's Son" and "Dracula's Daughter".

In 1958, Dracula was played by Christopher Lee and was also very popular. A total of 8 sequels were filmed.

The last adaptation was the famous Francis Coppola ("The Godfather", "Apocalypse Now") directed "The Four Hundred Years of Fright", the cast includes Keanu Reeves (don't mess with his dog) and Wino Na Ryder, the latter's representative works "The Age of Innocence", "Little Women", "Edward Scissorhands" and so on.

This time the BBC adaptation team is the original crew of "Sherlock". The way of narration is to intersperse the past and the future through memories, and somehow think of "Wuthering Heights".

The lines in the first episode are joyous.

The first episode The Rules of the Beast

Dracula’s lines:

I don't drink WINE.
No. There is no one...LIVING here.
People around here have no FLAVOUR. -Perhaps you mean "character"?
Simply remain at my side and I shall...ABSORB you.
You do look rather...DRAINED.
I'm undead. I'm not unreasonable.

The cause of Mozart's death was ascertained: it was eaten by Dracula.

Agatha:

Like many women my age I am trapped in a loveless marriage, maintaining appearances for the sake of a roof over my head.
I have a detective acquaintance in London.

So this detective acquaintance is Sister Sherlock?

In Mina's letter, it was mentioned that the Rose and Crown Hotel was to pay tribute to the role of Jenna Coleman in "Doctor Who".

Episode 2 Blood Vessel

Murder in the Chamber of Secrets has the taste of Agatha Christie, similar to "Murder on the Orient Express" or "No Survival".

Like "No Survival", the seven passengers on the ship were summoned by the same person, either as a funder or silent partner. The motive for the murder turned into a hunger for human blood. Sherlock has a history of drug abuse, and Dracula is obviously addicted to blood. This trip, in the words of the nun's sister, was a drill to control desire.

Dracula is still switching to the detective's joke:

And I made a good detective, don't you think? I have a particular gift for...ELIMINATING suspects.

Sailing trips also unlocked some of Dracula’s new skills: to learn a language quickly, just eat someone who is good at the relevant language. By the way, even the victim’s stuttering will be laughed at; it’s a pity that she can show the future of others through the “mirror”. There will never be a future; creating a fog.

Always take the weather with you.

When Dracula finally set foot on the land of England, the only thing I was worried about was those fifty boxes of soil from the homeland. How could Dracula recover without these?
